Bosch Products (was O2 Sensor in '90 Ramcharger)

on wed 2 jun 2004 nosey wrote remember to use a mopar ntk echlin dana or standard-bluestreak sensor not a bosch! what is it about bosch i tried their platnum spark plugs in my daughters car and they didnt even last a month. i used a bosch o2 sensor in my f-150 and it only lasted about 6 months. do they make anything worth buying they make good and expensive o2 sensors for european and scandinavian cars. they make good dishwashers good alternators good starters. they also make bad starters. all their regular spark plugs are now chinese made; their platinums are still german-made but suck just as badly as ever. i have seen lots of domestic vehicle owners chase their tails for months trying to solve driveability or check engine problems either replacing bosch o2 sensor after bosch o2 sensor or *not* replacing the faulty bosch o2 sensor it cant be that! i just replaced it!. put in a non-bosch sensor or a set of autolite or ngk plugs and the problem disappears right away. how do they stay in business same way piaa slick-50 amsoil and k&n stay in business there are lots and lots of gullible people in the world. -stern .
