this seems to be a common problem on chrysler products. my 04 sebring had the same problem at 57000km. gary wrote my 01 dakota 3.9 had the same exact problem. i called the dealer and it would be $95.00 to fix it. i called back and asked for the parts dept and it was a $9.00 part. i then called back to the service dept and asked where it was located and did it myself in about 20 minutes. and i am a two thumbs mechanic. it is behind the glove compartment and held in by two hex head screws. there is one wire that snaps onto it and it only goes in one way. very easy. gary b. my a/c - heater control works on the #4 high position only. i am assuming the problem is a faulty blower motor resistor block. 1. where is this resistor block located 2. is it easily replaced 3. any tricks of the trade needed to replace it 4. any other advice 2002 quad cab dakota 3.9 thanks john c .
