Q: jbob wrote charles irby wrote i bought a 93 dakota with 318 4x4 it had 102 4 years later now its got 180 on it and no new wheel bearings yet . its ben a great truck and still is i love it . ive had 2 toyota but no more for me . im sticking with dodge as long as i live ... ive had a bunch of dodges 4x4 v8 with no problem everybody i know with a dakota had good luck with it ... gee.........looks like i got the only dakota lemon they made........just my luck. my 1994 dakota was the best vehicle i have ever owned. my 2002 dakota is the worst lemon i have ever owned. i have spent more money fixing the 2002 in 50000 miles than i spent on the 1994 in 150000 miles. next truck will be a ford or a toyota. dodge of today is not the same company it was 10 years ago. they let go the teams that designed their most successful cars and trucks and replaced them with the hacks that are designing crap today. jam .

i have a 2003 hemi the yellow engine light has started at times to turn on and off so fast you are not sure if it turned on or not. the truck has covered only 10000 miles and all seems fine except this light you just see at the edge of your vision it took me ages to realise that the light had come on as it is so fast i thought i was seeing things. advice please .

i haul to offroad races in my dodge 4x4van http//www.airextreme.com/4x4van/4x4van.html i went to laughlin in 99 & demonstrated same-day coverage of that score race. see http//www.airextreme.com/laughlin/laughlin.html i followed it up with same-hour coverage for 01 primm 300 the idea of picture cell-phone was proposed on rdc/www.race-dezert.com as a means for covering score laughlin in real-time. well just for the heck of it i went to the geiser bros openhouse on dec 17 with the intent of trying out these new-fangled camera/video cell-phones myself at the time i had an ancient 02 era non camera-phone. http//www.seeleyracing.com/geiser/main.html check out the video section where you get some commentary by the rick geiser on custom fabbing..laser cutting. pirate 4x4ers will like that did anyone see the recent cnbc/nbc coverage of the 04 baja 1000..everyones talking about it being a breakthrough in revealing our little wonder in the desert ryan arcieros quote to me. with - ryans excellent showing on speedtv prior to the mil - scott steinbergers good personality/color commentary on techtv for the darpa challenge btw i know about the caltech team & was following their progress. i almost got hired by the robotics institute/cmu after getting my degree in 84 they ran the red hummer - kreg donahoes recent spiketv appearance - good showing by cameron steele pete sohren rick geiser in the cnbc 3-part series & summary i want to toss my hat-into-the-arena. i have some fairly impressivve credentials as far as media-credits for off-road racing & baja travel. see http//www.jumplive.com i planned on just going to laughlin like i did in 99 on a song with help from george seeley class 5 racer & see what happens. holy s*t this casual thing has now blossomed into a monster. i figure if i dont make a hard push i believe in go hard or go home then its just a drop-in-the-ocean..a waste-of-time. so im approaching it as a proof of concept or prototype. i really want to test-out the idea by rdc/race-dezert.com see if it could lead to something bigger. possibly the vehicle that takes un-marketed out little wonder in the desert into the internet demographic world-wide visibility. we plan on 2 picture/video cell-phones running simultaneously each assigned to 2 data-streams http//www.jumplive.com/laughlin05/index.html main real-time url with links to the 2 data-stream urls below.. http//www.jumplive.com/laughlin05/phlogging.html http//www.jumplive.com/laughlin05/wireless.html weve run tests & its pretty straightforward. like i say the wireless technology is pretty stable. its just up to systems integrators like us to put it together. okay i had a detailed discussion with dominic clark of score where he knows that im not out-for-money but proof of concept. im not selling the footage..just demonstrating that real-time content quantity and quality is achievable. so i wont get charged licensing fee. ill also shoot with mini-dv camcorder & digital slr camera 2 canon 6mpixel cameras & upload them the evening of all 4-days thu contingency & laughlin leap fri contingency & pit competition sat & sun class 5 class 1 trophy truck class 7/8/protruck..maybe others too awards. if things come off it could be a great show for internet users. thats the purpose of this post. tell your friends & tell them to tell their friends etc so we get a good response. ive already had some well-financed entities express future-interest if the marketing of score real-time webcasting is successful. that might induce investment so that score racing can expect a consistent presence on the internet. it could possibly be the vehicle that takes score out of the standard model tv broadcast & really generate revenue & public-interest. one of the main reasons im doing this is to continue the media-coup established by cameron steele ryan arciero et al. establish visibility media presence..and maintain visibility media presence i just got an email from chad ragland to the effect how else can i help you. im into this project into the thousands of dollars establishing new domain-name new server hire 2 new $400 camera/video phones paying a profesional picture-server..but mostly my time/energy..ive been going straight since dec 10..20 hr days with no break for xmas or new years. i need to recoup my costs otherwise its an incentive to quit after laughlin. remember that on-site video-editing project at primm 300 what was it..2002 some professional video guy from hollywood brought photographers van video editors ton of expensive equipment..& produced a video shown at the awards. one problem..he didnt pay himself! i.e. he didnt recoup his costs. guess why he never came back. so im not out for $$ just break-even to test proof of concept. if it flies then interested parties - other photographers/videographers rdc staff included - other internet technology guys pat chi

arent you guilty of that which you describe herein -- pcolaphil to reply remove -spamnot- there are three kinds of men the ones that learn by reading. the few who learn by observation. the rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves. - - will rogers | | | please dont feed the troll. | | oh look a new net-nanny | | the personality type attracted to the post/function/role of net nanny is | extremely well described in the professional literature. the description is | so good that even the untrained observer after only a first reading is able | to make a positive identification. it is better described than any other | aberrant personality type. | | | according to the literature they tend to be emotionally and sexually | immature. personal relations are a nightmare for them more so for the | object of their attention. they just cannot cope with other people | especially tho | se of their preferred sex. they are described as being highly | authoritarian and very seriously pedantic. taking the highly authoritarian | aspect first they defer to and are weak with the strong others who have | some sort of control or hold on them. they tend to identify with an | individual more disturbed than themselves agreeing to the point of | grovelling with every thing the leaderhas to say. there is usually a | strong component | of homo-eroticism in this sort of relationship. they make and generally are | excellent arse lickers. | | | on the other hand they kick the shit ot of those they regard as weaker or | inferior to them. they are the sort of people who when asked to kill people | only ask how many and how often. pedantry in this type of personality | is a consuming and all pervading passion. in groups they tend to examine | messages for spelling punctuation grammar query syntax whether the | message is on topic and general netetiquet before getting down to the | message contained in the posting. if they do get down to the message they | have nothing to contribute and bizarrely may even congratulate you for being | on topic etc. there are many examples around in this group. | | | a word to the wise. they are very easily offended because of their basic | underlying pathology. being rigid and unable to make concessions or to admit | they may be mistaken every disagreement is taken as a personal sligh | t. coupled with their inability to correct misinformed notions and their | lack of adaptability they tend to have ill balanced aims way out of | proportion to any perceived slight. responses to perceived slights are | always ov | er the top. war can break out over the miss-spelling of a word a | miss-placed punctuation mark or minor difference of opinion. cause indeed | to have you banned from the net. they fall out at the drop of comma! the | paradox | is that they are so full up with shit themselves that they do their best to | put everyone down so as to cover up their own inadaquacies. | | | groups are ideal for them partly because face to face | relationships are not just a nightmare for them but anyone within a | 50 mile radius and partly because each group has a charter | which they can refer to. a weapon with which to keep us all in line. | a number of groups are so badly infested that they either | become deserted or the domain of one small clique ruined for | everyone else. it is best to remember that inter-personal relations | of any kind always become a veritable nightmare for them. | | | | | | .

bo roll wrote youre going to have alot more to worry about other than the correct oil and gas. i own one of these lemons and from the first week i owned it bought new it has been back to the dealer about once a month while under warranty and ive lost count how many times since. ive spent thousands wheel bearings ball joints waterpump etc. and the problems continue. id sell this pile of junk but no one will touch it with tranfer case fluid running out of it. tranfer case just disintegrated with hairline cracks all over it do yourself a favor and trade for a toyota. ya right and we are supposed to believe that. ummmmmmm..............i have no reason to lie to you. i dont even know you. it riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave the moody blues .

thank you all for your common sense aproach to my question. and the banter was good as well. i guess its cmp putting the screws to me again. have you thought about trading up to a hybrid diesel-electric ram oh they dont have one yet weeelllll never mind. on sat 8 jan 2005 143002 -0800 jumpin jack flash jflash@realemailaccounts.net wrote um sounds like a serious problem. i know my fuel economy dropped when i started leaving my truck running overnight and for the life of me i cant seem to figure what has caused this. has anyone else corrolated a direct relationship between use of thier block heater and dramaticilly higher electric bills just as cold last month but bill was much lower. and i was away this month i plugged in the ol gal 2 x on exceptionally cold mornings and this month my bill was about double. on sat 08 jan 2005 191426 gmt goat fake@not-real.net wrote the block heater probably draws around 800 watts or so. assuming 800 watts for 8 hours that would be 6.4 kw & assuming you are paying 8 cents for every kwh that would be $.51 for every 8 hours of use. goat so doing the math bob used the block heater two nights. goat figured that cost $1.02 cents. bob says he electric bill was double what it usually is. id sure like to have a $2.04 electric bill for a month! ;- greg is he talking about december did he have christmas lights on at his house inside or out was it cold enough for his heat to come on more often and does his heat and / or hot water use electricity in some way i doubt that any engine heater could double anyones electric bill in two days unless like you say his bill is normally a few dollars a month. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

at very low speeds25 or less the rear seems to lock up or bind for an instant then bangs or shudders any ideas i figure it happens when you go around a corner. figure also that you have a l/s rear end. if so you might want to add a bottle of friction modifier or what ever they call it these days. used to be called posi additive. roy .

2wd auto paved roads under acceleration and just rolling. theres less than 36k miles on truck. .

i had a similar problem in an 84 celica gt-s. it was the pick-up coil in the distributor. hth carl as the subject says truck has 230000kms new plugs wires cap and rotor. if i let it get into overdrive at say 70-80 km/h 45-50 mph it will stumble/studder really bad a couple of times when cold/damp it backfired through the throttle body. if i accelerate so it drops a gear and revs higher it smooths out as the rpm increases. im thinking the coil is the next thing to try any other ideas todd .
