i decided to go with line-x after some research. the only real options where im at is that and rhino. i actually like the look of the rhino better but its softer and my truck bed gets abused. so far i have no complaints with the line-x. --mike new qc hemi gets delivered on monday and it needs a bedliner. want to go with a spray-in this time and not sure which company to go with. would appreciate folks opinions on which one you went with and how its holding up. ron w. hampton va .

the bed rails are all scratched up. it will be about $400 to get them done so its not exactly a priority. yeah especially with the black plastic bed rail caps like the ones from wade that go for about $60 and almost look like line-x .

bob - sorry for opening a can of worms. the last time i frequented aadt the k&n filter debate was heating up again. do they really give you 15 more hp or do they just let in 50% more dirt just kidding just kidding! looks like ill be going with the closest installer for a line-x. i could drop it off for all day friday or take it in next tuesday for a 2 hour session. i chose tuesday. $469 plus tax for over the rail. thanks for the advice ron w. what an excellent way to open a can of worms -d the two biggies seem to be line-x http//www.line-x.com/ and rhino http//www.rhinolinings.com/. many folks in here will chime in that their choice is the best and all others suck rotten eggs. with that said i run my truck with the rhino and my dad has line-x installed in his. to the casual observer the biggest difference seems to be that the line-x being a different formulation provides a much harder surface while the rhino has some give and a softer feeling surface. my dad and i both work our trucks pretty hard and even swap trucks on occasion when one seems better suited than the other for some purpose. neither one of use feels that either bedliner works at any real disadvantage over the other. and on the flip side we both feel that neither one seems to have a definite advantage. there are many reports of people gouging the rhino lining but i have knock on wood not had this happen to me yet after 14 years of work and play. i have seen some weathering and dulling of the surface on mine but even though i have a cap on the truck approx. 1/2 of each year this should be expected after this length of time. my dads is still to new one year and counting to begin to get any answer on weathering yet. perhaps the best advice i could give is to talk to people who have one or the other and to see for yourself in their trucks how they stand up to usage and weathering. for me after seeing and working with both of them i might go with the less expensive one or the one that has a closer installer. hows that for a definitive solid answer - bob 1992 dodge cummins 4x4 5spd new qc hemi gets delivered on monday and it needs a bedliner. want to go with a spray-in this time and not sure which company to go with. would appreciate folks opinions on which one you went with and how its holding up. ron w. hampton va .

many owners will recommend whatever -they- went with and swear by it. however line-x is number 1 preferred and you cannot go wrong in getting one. prices for line-x vary widely by region and availability of any discounts or deals. by all means get the bedrails capped adds about $50 to the total job prices seem to range from a low around $325 to a high around $450 including capping the rails. fmbb@sbcglobal.net writes new qc hemi gets delivered on monday and it needs a bedliner. want to go with a spray-in this time and not sure which company to go with. would appreciate folks opinions on which one you went with and how its holding up. ron w. hampton va i have about 51 weeks of experience with a line-x in the 2500 lb. i love it. it has no gouges scratches or really anything wrong with it besides a bit of fading. is it better than rhino i dunno i dont have any experience with rhino besides it probably has lots to do with the prep work of the bed prior to the spray on. the biggest damage i have to the bed is a small dent on the rail just below the window. i was stacking rounds for firewood and one hit the rail just below the window glad it didnt hit the window. i dont know if it would have dented anyway with the rhino probably. anyway the coating wasnt damaged. ymmv -- help support satellite radio! your local radio broadcasters through their powerful nab lobbyiests are currently pushing a bill through congress that if passed would block the satellite radio services from carrying local content traffic & weather please call your elected representatives at 202 225-3121 and urge them to oppose hr 4026. we need your help please. http//www.xmradio.com/grassroots/index.jsp .

hi guys - i just bought a new 2004 dodge dakota - 6 1/2 foot bed. i have only had drop-in plastic bedliners in previous trucks. i wanted the sprayed on bedliner with the over the rail application. i checked with the local rhino and line-x dealer - i went with line-x based on the following the rhino dealer wanted $505 for the bedliner/over the rail versus $450 for the same at line-x. the rhino dealer stated he could not keep the drain holes open in the front of the bed - line-x said no problem. the rhino dealer only sprayed trucks monday through thursday - the line-x dealer sprayed them any day - including saturday morning. the rhino dealer wanted the vehicle for at least one day - possibly two - depending on prep time - the line-x dealer wanted either morning or afternoon four hours. so my choice was easy - line-x. so far - no complaints. ill let you know in ten years how things are going. robert thanks mike - based on what i can find it looks like line-x is the quickest/closest option for me. ron w. i decided to go with line-x after some research. the only real options where im at is that and rhino. i actually like the look of the rhino better but its softer and my truck bed gets abused. so far i have no complaints with the line-x. --mike new qc hemi gets delivered on monday and it needs a bedliner. want to go with a spray-in this time and not sure which company to go with. would appreciate folks opinions on which one you went with and how its holding up. ron w. hampton va .

some of the spray in bedliners are now available in color! if i had it to do again id get the spray in to match my truck color but spray in is the way to go. unfortunately now you have to decide over the rail or under you must predict what accessories you will buy for your truck over the next 10 years because your liner can affect what accessories you can have on your truck. big example --- pace edwards jackrabbit i think it will not work with a liner over the rail must be under. j. new qc hemi gets delivered on monday and it needs a bedliner. want to go with a spray-in this time and not sure which company to go with. would appreciate folks opinions on which one you went with and how its holding up. ron w. hampton va .
