nathan w. collier wrote having looked at what fords have to offer im back to wanting a mega cab dodge and i dont mind travelling to another dealer. i removed the 5th wheel hitch from my 05 but as i understand it there is a different hitch for a short bed its a 2007 reese 20000# 5th wheel. will it work on an 08 shortbed with different rails how difficult is it to tow a 5th wheel camper with a short bed thanks do you still have the tri-axle raptor that thing is huge. i dont think a megacab can handle it unless they changed them. the towing rating is really poor on them. if the truck can handle your camper and you want a long-bed megacab check out http//www.megacablongbed.com/ . ken .

ive had my adjustable fifth wheel hitch in 6+ dodge ram 1500 pickups since 98 and it works great. my hitch is a dual pivot and slides but works easy i a shortbox. i had different mounts for th 05+ trucks. i always get a pair for spring assist monroe rear shocks and they tow and pull fine with lt tires on the trucks - more information at http//www.talkaboutautos.com/faq.htm .

suddenly without warning nathan w. collier exclaimed 4/22/2008 421 am in 2004 i purchased a new 3500 cummins/ram from lithia dodge in billings montana. in 2005 i purchased a new 3500 cummins/ram from lithia dodge in billings montana. see both at http//inlinediesel.com/trucks/3gen/1/index.html yesterday i found myself back at lithia to purchase a 2008 3500 cummins/ram mega cab 4x4 and was quoted a price that i considered fair but wanted to think on it overnight so that my wife didnt accuse me of making another impulse purchase ok im bad for that. the paperwork was done credit approved all that was needed was my signature. i went back today to purchase my truck and was told that the price i was quoted was good for yesterday only. the jackass salesman told me that if i wanted the truck today that it would cost me an additional $2000. at first i thought he was joking and when i realized he was serious i was both dumb-founded and almost offended. he stated that the sales manager was firm on his offers and that they are for that day only. what an assinine sales manager to let his ego get in the way of selling trucks. i was fully prepared to buy the truck today. not only did they lose a sale they lost a returning customer who buys new trucks every 1.5 years on average. shame shame lith

id bet money on the egr valve being clogged open....had it happen and the symptoms were identical to yours!! id bet money against it as the 99s didnt have egr. vacuum leaks vacuum leak will cause a high idle on a fuel injected vehicle. ah my mind is still carbureted! . 222 343860 48091820$0$94968$892e0abb@auth.reader.octa.com dealer charged me about $1200 to replace the gasket take the throttle body apart to clean it and replace the idle control motor. wow... did you at least get dinner first .

is putting out these days.....and if i dont like the new f350 ill search for another dodge dealer. one thing is for sure i wont spend another dime at lithia dodge. theres no other dodge dealers in the area youre so upset at one dealer youd consider buying a *ford* you must really be mad! my stupid dealer story i was just starting to look at small pickup trucks circa 1991 i think. i went to the nissan dealer first because thats what i really wanted but said i was only looking. the hard-selling kid kept at me asking me what itd take to sell me the truck we were talking about today. his truck on paper was already about $3k over my budget. in frustration i pointed out the window to my old 1976 yellow chevette and said youd have to give me a trade-in value of $7000. so he puts that as the trade-in value of my vehicle. in pencil. then handed me a pen to sign. what did he think i was stupid apparently. when we asked to see a manager they brought out some kid who was no more the manager than i. we made more noise and finally got a real manager who supported idiot number one. we ended up making a big scene out on the sales floor intentionally making sure everyone currently trying to buy understood the tactics being used. i ended up buying a mitsubishi mighty max. . 222 343868 8i5pj.501397$gl5.447638@fe02..easy.com i was fully prepared to buy the truck today. not only did they lose a sale they lost a returning customer who buys new trucks every 1.5 years on average. shame shame lithia. its time to take a closer look at what ford is putting out these days.....and if i dont like the new f350 ill search for another dodge dealer. one thing is for sure i wont spend another dime at lithia dodge. -- nathan in montana http//concealedcarryforum.com http//1911talk.com http//hipowertalk.com http//glockcarry.com http//p99sw99.com http//ppstalk.com http//p7talk.com lithia has an awful reputation and its not a spotty thing its by design from the top down and afflicts every facet of the operation. shortsighted penny wise and pound foolish seem to be the rule at lithia. we had a lithia dealer here in the dfw area for a while fortunately they didnt last long and that dealer is under other ownership now. last month i drove a truck like youre looking at and was somewhat tempted. the new six speed auto is awesome! imho every bit as good as the allison. but my 01 just passed 90000 miles its a great truck that does everything i need it to do and has no payments. maybe later. the wife drove the dually a half ton hemi truck and a jeep grand cherokee then decided shed just keep her 93 ramcharger for now but i have to get it painted again. the saturday i should be getting my hemi ramcharger back from the shop should be awesome i can hardly wait. .

just got the msg today that dc will honor the warranty claim $100 deductable parts wont be here till thursday at the earliest and it will be the mod to put the pump in the tank. steve thanks tom ill keep you posted. steve i know it isnt much but it is all i had at the moment. it is my vehicle and it died friday while negotiating a traffic circle at low speed. okay. well i think you know the answer here... your lift pumps dead... probably burned out the motor. the cp3 is capable of sucking its own fuel as it does in the duramax application but that lift pumps a big ol restriction so im surprised it even ran at all. fortunately the cp3s a whole lot tougher than the vp44 so im sure its fine. youre just going to need a new lift pump which should hopefully be covered under warranty unless they try and duck out of a legitimate warranty repair because of the aftermarket stuff youve got. and if they do the repair either under warranty or not - but i would strongly recommend doing it yourself if they wont warranty it and you dont feel like fig

every time it rains the driver side floor is soaked. any suggestions roll up the window okay... getting serious the most common cause is a leaking chmsl or 3rd brake light in non-factory language. frequently the gasket partialls fails lets rainwater in it runs down the back of the cab and pools on the floorboard. unscrew it run a bead of silicone around the mating surfaces and screw it back down. .

vacuum leaks possible though i like the battery suggestion myself... pretty common. when the batterys voltage drops too much the computer doesnt adjust the iac motor properly. light application of the throttle allows enough air to maintain combustion. .
