Q: ok i will ask. how do you know i bought a 2 pack of bulbs and tried both neither worked. if i ever get time which i havent yet i am going to pull the working bulb from the right side and put it in the left side to tell me for sure if its the bulb or not but at this point i think it is something other than the bulb. kurt wrote change the left rear blinker bulb! if that doesnt fix it then if you have a smart stalk blinkerswindshield wipers windshield washers. then it needs to be replaced for about $350.00 ask me how i know on 1 dec 2006 062945 -0800 todd ctfortner@gmail.com wrote it must be your auction i am bidding on for it then. got to have some. also i checked my blinkers this mornin havent been home much lately. i think there is only one blinker bulb for mine the left and right front both only blink one bulb. so all blinkers blink except the rear left. and the left is still a fast blink. i hope to be able to do some of this testing yall mentioned this weekend if i ever get some free time. stormin mormon wrote why do you think they are sold out i bought it all. selling it on ebay. -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. . now thats funny. if you will buy it i will install it stormin mormon wrote theres two reservoirs under the dash. your blinker fluid probably needs to be topped off for the left side. http//kalecoauto.com/index.phpmainpage=productinfo&cpath=2&productsid=6 -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect. .

this is how you check the tow http//www.loadstar.se/images/tow-truck.jpg this page mentions toe http//www.familycar.com/alignment.htm the only time i had to check the tow on my dodge was when aaa came and got me. why did he tow you and the guy looked like he knew what he was doing. i dont think a tape measure will help tow a dodge. if its a real strong tape it might get it rolling i did have to check the toe one time used a 1 x 4 board 8 feet long. big toe or little toe which foot im confused too many toeser tows. bfg roy christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. . on fri 08 dec 2006 093616 -0600 tom matigan matigan@rockymountaindigital.org wrote on fri 08 dec 2006 104105 +0000 beekeep wrote are the wheels towed in about an eighth of an inch i dunno. the alignment is supposed to be within normal specs. my father also asked about the alignment. he believes that some combinations of camber/caster could produce poor tracking - even if the overall alignment was in spec. what is the significance of the eighth inch toe-in if it produces unstable tracking shouldnt one of the professional mechanics have caught it you can check the tow with a tape measure. pick a tread on each front tire and measure both on the front and on the back of the tire. the front measurement should be about an 1/8 less. beekeep .

i believe the toe in is the only adjustment that can be made on that truck. about 1/8 in sounds right to me but an alignment shop should be able to tell you for sure. parallel or toe-out will make the truck wonder as you describe but wouldnt produce the cluck sound. i think your idea of lifting the front wheels to relieve weight then looking for loose parts sound like a good way to approach it. my guess is it will be ball joints but thats just a guess. if you find just one side needs replacing i would go ahead and do the other side. on fri 08 dec 2006 104105 +0000 beekeep wrote are the wheels towed in about an eighth of an inch i dunno. the alignment is supposed to be within normal specs. my father also asked about the alignment. he believes that some combinations of camber/caster could produce poor tracking - even if the overall alignment was in spec. what is the significance of the eighth inch toe-in if it produces unstable tracking shouldnt one of the professional mechanics have caught it .

speaking of ridiculous tickets.... my boyfriend just got a ticket for failure to secure dc plates - he is a resident of virginia but spends most nights with me in dc. meters go off from 10 - 7 and he will park there during those times or in the visitor parking areas in georgetown. they gave him a $100 ticket at 3am for failure to secure dc plates. im sure they think hes a resident or something - but i told him to fight that one you know some cop was waiting like 2 months scouting out the scene to write that bad boy! on dec 8 954 am rm v2.0 b...@spam.sucks wrote with these red light cameras some of the cities even shortened the yellow light duration to gain more violaters - people caight in the intersection when the light turned. in southern california one city has given a contract to a large corporation to operate and maintain the red light cameras. the corporation gets a cut of every ticket. does that sound like a would where you want to raise your childrenif you enter on yellow then you are ok in texas anyway. shortening the cycle would only get the ones who try to speed up and beat the yellow. .

sad but true. when i bought my first and second new trucks 20 and 8 years ago respectively the salesmen knew a lot about them. lately ive noticed mostly young guys with little knowledge trying to charm me into a truck rather than sell me on one. rule #1 always take what a salesman tells you with a grain of salt. they sadly are rarely knowledgeable about the products they sell. mike mike .

as the son of a photographer im not sure youre making any sense. may we have a little more detail please supposing the license plate is black letters on white plate. and so the negative is white numbers on a black plate. would that be any harder to read apparantly if you print the image of a b/w negative as it is you will be able to see the numbers. the over exposed white then becomes black and the black letters on the plate become white thus able to see the plate number. cy ive worked with a lot of black and white negatives. sometimes you need a magnifier but you can make out numbers either in negative or positive. however i am reading that a number of these cameras use ir instead of visible light therefore no overexposure flash. cy ir would be ok daytime as dark letters or background absorbs more solar heat. im not sure if it would help any during th enight. alo they have available a plate cover which i think is the best. it makes the plate numbers visible only if you are looking directly straight at the plate from behind. it was featured on csi miami cy that coudl be useful. on the other hand some states have police cars hidden on the side of the road taking pictures of speeders from behine. maybe use both the spray and plate cover cy back to the point you may need a magnifying lens but you dont need to print a negative to be able to read numbers. if the image is over exposed enough then you cannot. the problem they have is that i am sure they are using ccd camera. so makes me think they are mass producing tickets since i heard revenues are in the millions. makes it time consuming to go through all those few where the plate is not seen -- christopher a. young you cant shout down a troll. you have to starve them. . it does work but the company only needs to reverse the negative to see the numbers on the plate. .

got a 2004 dakota 4-wheel drive with an automatic transmission. if im driving in 4 wheel hi should the overdrive be turned off my book only mentions this if the truck is towing anything. thanks for help dennis b i dont understand why you would be driving fast enough in 4wd to be using overdrive. i thought 4wd was only for off-road definitely not for dry pavement. paul johnson 95 ram 2500 4wd you would be exactly right. the speeds in conditions bad enough for 4wd shouldnt be high enough to shift into overdrive anyways. and personally if you ask me unless your on a farm having to service equipment in a muddy field 4wd is a not need. if the road conditions are so bad that i cant get there with my 2wd then i dont need to get there at that moment imho. -- ---------------------------- -chris 05 ctd 06 liberty crd real trucks dont need spark plugs. .

i found a nice 99 dodge 2500 cummins powered automatic trans. 4x4 quad cab with some useful aftermarket stuff airbag rear assist springs pre/post oiler multi type bed mount hitch 105 gal. in bed fuel tank with 120k miles for sale. i remember hearing some bad stories about the dodge automatic transmissions but i dont remember when they got them worked out. my main question is regarding the reliability of the transmission but any suggestions regarding what to look for or beware of are appreciated. for what its worth i have a 99 1500 5.9l 4x4 automatic quad cab that has been very reliable. i have seen some with milage rebuilt. expect to fork out at least $2000 for a rebuild. it depends on the previous owener also if they took care of the truck. my 2000 has hit 105k and i am second owner. the first owner put some after market stuff on it that should give me longer life and better performance on mine. the trans in the 1500 and 2500 are not same. if i am not mistaken dodge now has an option for a 5 speed allison now. you are mistaken. mike .

your post says 40 psi first when it is cold you should get maybe 80 psi oil pressure if you do not verify it with a mechanical oil pressure gauge. if low the only thing to do is check the bearings. i ignored a oil pressure loss on a la360 pre magnum had 20 at idle not its normal 40 psi ended up breaking the crank which i suspect was caused by the bad bearing clearences allowing the crank to flex .

dj wrote from dj spirithorsenospam@adelphia.net subject 97 dodge dakota oil pressure drop when warm date wednesday december 06 2006 1230 pm 97 dodge dakota 4x4 5.2l i have been chasing this oil pressure problem around and decided to see what this group thinks. the op is 40+ when started and remains until normal operating temperature is achieved. it then drops down to 20psi or the low range on the gauge but not below the lower limit indicator. when under acceleration or load it sounds like lifter rattle. i replaced the sending unit because the old one wouldnt read the low signal and dropped the gauge to 0psi. new filter and oil 20w-50 florida and still not maintaining the pressure when normal operating temp. i read a post on a web site that explained the thrust bearing was bad which allowed a 1/8 shift in the crank position and after replacing the thrust bearing and i would expect the rest of the mains the oil pressure drop when warm disappeared. i would think that if the thrust bearing was bad that it would have the pressure problem even when the engine was cold or just warming up. i can drive it 45 55 and the pressure still remains at 40+ until it reaches n.o.t. and then drops to the lower range of the gauge 20psi. that makes me think along the lines of a viscosity problem or a pump that has worn impellers. ie. the oil remains thick enough for the pump to work at lower temperatures but as soon as the oil is hot and the viscosity drops the problem surfaces. any comments on your experiences with fixing this problem would be appreciated. remove no spam to email dj that oil pressure drop sounds normal to me. if it were mine id put 10w-30 back in it and check the pressure again. if i still had 20 psi at idle hot id be happy. the lifter rattle noise may be caused by the spark plug wire routing. try this http//autorepair.about.com/library/a/1h/bl654h.htm -- ken .

my $.02 if there is sludge buildup its best left where it is. if one of your miracle chemicals will knock it all loose itll just plug up the oil pump pickup. btw you can get a pretty good idea of the buildup by looking through the oil filler cap. a friend of mine bought a car with a chevy v8 that needed an intake manifold gasket. with the intake off it was clear that the lifter valley was *full* of sludge. we just left it there. fast forward 5 years and many oil changes later every 3k miles we pulled the intake for something else cant remember what and it was clean! detergent oil! just change the oil every 3k miles like were all supposed to do. the fresh oil will gradually and safely clean it all up. that said at 75k miles its probably ready to have all the other fluids changed as well. check the owners manual service schedule and assume the previous owner has ignored all the scheduled regular maintenence. -rev calvinlbrown@hotmail.com wrote hello i am seriously considering buying a 2000 dodge durango 75k mi from a private seller. assuming the test drive and mechanics inspection dont turn anything nasty up heres what i plan do do once i get it... ***ive done research on the net and have found that the biggest complaint about this vehicle is the sludge factory engine http//www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/dodgeduroil.html. since i dont know the oil changing regimine i have to assume the worst... i was hoping to counter this by trying *a* a severe treatment of auto rx http//www.auto-rx.com/pages/applications2.htm or *b* a classic kerosine flush http//forums.probetalk.com/archive/index.php/t-4052.html. i am really leaning towards the auto rx though i am sure someone is bound to call it snakes oil i figured that it looks legit and i have yet to read a negative comment so i figure it cant be so bad. obviously i would follow up with regular oil changes which should keep it clean and visually check the pan after 25k or so. ***these are the other things i would do myself. ******coolant flush ******tune up new plugs wires and pcv ******add some fuel system cleaner for the first few tanks ******replace belts though not timing ******a thorough detailing ***these are the things i would get the shop to do... ******tranny flush ******power steering flush ******replace brakes & fluid flush mainly for the warranty ******possibly timing belt if it looks the part i am pretty capable and have done my fair share of work on cars. has anyone got anything else that they think would be of benefit i am aware of the dangers of stirring up the sludge in the engine but i think its worth the benefit. same thing on the transmission i dont think it has enough miles to say the gunk is holding it together quite yet. any opinions adds subtracts warnings are greatly appreciated. thanks. .

how to beat traffic cameras legally - not! you show a graphic of it being sprayed on maryland and california tags which implies that it is legal in the us. you might want to do some research before you get yourself locked up. or start selling brake pedals instead. id bet they are legal everywhere. georgia code clearly addresses the use of your product. i suspect other states have similar laws. http//www.legis.ga.gov/legis/gacode/data/40-2-6.1.htm i think that the product is bs. but the law you reference i believe has to do with the dark plastic plate covers. the body part is probably the boot over the plate on the bike. if your gonna play you have to expect to pay. roy ken .
