at 75 i get about 13 - 14. i guessed that they would do the highway milage at 65. i just cant seem to get it 19mpg. as long as someone else is getting as bad as milage as i am that makes me feel better. yes i try to drive with a lite foot. mine 5.9l slowly improved as i put more mileage on it. started out at 13 highway and im now up to about 17 highway if i keep my foot off of it. out here highway speeds are 75mph or so. id imagine the highway mpg listed on the sticker is based at 65mph. ambo wrote i have a 2003 dodge 1500 quad cab regular bed 2 wheel drive with the hemi. the sticker said 14mpg city 19 highway. i do mixed driving mostly city. i average about 13mpg below the stated city mpg. even on the highway i get about 16mpg at 65mph give or take. is this on par with what others are getting .

makes my 2003 4.7 ram 1500 sound like an economy car! with regular tires i was averaging about 14.85 around town and got a record 18.85 on pure highway at 65mph. this is pretty close to the 13/19 quoted on the window sticker .

i have a 99 dodge ram 1500 with 40k miles on it. while driving the other day the steering just got hard to turn. i thought maybe the belt had come off but that was not the case. also there is plenty of ps fluid. has anyone experienced similar problems not sure if it is the pump or the steering gear. the steering wheel will turn but its like not having power steering. never saw a pump just go out without warning or noises. dave .
