what happen to this dodge truck group i been gone a few months and i see none or dont see any of the old timers jump right in answering questions. used to be a guy could post a question and three or four of the old farts would jump in the old farts are being very careful while sitting on their heated seats for fear of an unintensional ignition problem... giving advice sometimes slightly disagreeing but always quick to help. now i see questions going unanswered. too bad this *was* a good group at one time. yeah i know dont let the door hit me in the ass. dont worry i wont. but for anyone else that would care to give me a civil answer i would appreciate it. thanks. what happen to the good ole boys most are still around here but dont post as much. myself i just get tired of somebody saying this isnt rocket science while they give a wrong answer and then argue about it for a couple of days. yup it does get old. roy denny .

try another ignition key its something to do with the chip built into the key. somesort of a security system. the key needs to be reprogramed or replaced. best to take it to the dealer. my 2003 was doing that also. it would start then in 5 secs it quit. turn the key again it would just turn over but not fire. i would wait for a couple of minutes and it would start. dodge dealership blamed it on my command start that someone else had installed. noticed it was not a mopar part so we will blame someone else i had the command start disenabled took it back to dodge. while there it would not start again. they had to order something thats under the dash that sends a signal to the key. i dont care what the problem is because the truck belongs to someone else. traded it in for a 2005 ford f250 superduty. with the rusting fenders and the runaround i was getting from dodge i went back to my ford dealership. dale b03f8a2d9cb82a5d68976ff8cede1310@localhost.talkaboutautos.com gazoo2552 gazoo2552@aol.com wrote my 4.7 v8 2002 dodge 1500 would not start one morning..the tiny dot like alarm red light was blinking in the dash...no power to anything..is there a quick fix to this i do not have an alarm on this unit. .

ive noticed a similar rattling. i havent had my trucks ball joints replaced yet as im not sure the chrysler dealer here in the uk will/can do that sort of recall work on a us dodge. but i have noticed the rattling but generally only when the windows down. when im in the drivers seat it sounds like its on that side but when im a passenger sounds like its on that side in the front. sort of sounds like a rattling tailgate but in the wrong place. could this be the same thing jmc suddenly without warning j exclaimed 27-aug-05 152 pm i had mine replaced also this past january but now im hearing some weird rattling going on in that general area. my mechanic adjusted some dust shields in the front wheel areas that they thought might be causing the problem. however the next day it came back so i called them up and they in turn called my dealer who said i should bring it up to them. someone at the dealer told my mechanic that several other people had brought their vehicles in with similar symptoms. .

i agree the style is getting all out of hand. give me back the old ram. that classic look never got old for me. scott why mess with something that works. the new headlight look like an after thought. they moved the cup holder to the floor now if someone set in the middle they have no place to put there feet. i do like the numbers on the gauges instead of the letters c & h and l & h. this was a wt model maybe the slt with the chrome grill will look better .
