cant really say for sure cause im not there but kinda sounds like what my 94 ram 1500 was doing a few months ago. ended up being a plugged catalytic converter which let enough exhaust gas through to allow the engine to function normal at lower rpm but on the freeway when i tried to push it harder the engine couldnt breathe like it need to and would bog down and loose power. and the further down i pressed the pedal the worse it got. also listen to the exhaust when it happens. mine made a hissing sound and the engine sounded like a damn vaccum cleaner. just a thought but i hope it helps! .

hello i have a 01 ram 5.9 4x4 w/ 104k miles on it and i have a problem with the electrical system that i would like some suggestions with if anybody has any. my circuit that controls the following items is not working 1. radio 2. interior lamps 3. cargo lamps 4. power mirrors 5. key halo 6. lamp switch illumination 7. under hood lamp 8. obd port power supply i can get power to all of these systems when i reverse power the system by connecting a feed from the battery to the + wire for the obd port. also when the ignition key is turned to on for the briefest of moments my eq lights on my radio flash indicating a surge of power through the system. all my fuses check out ive replaced relays and ive followed wiring diagrams until i get lost or utterly confused from flipping back and forth. btw my power seats work w/ no problem they are listed on the schematics as being on the same circuit as the interior lights. would greatly appreciate some suggestions especially if this is easier than i am making it out to be. thanks. .

ok if i understand correctly you bought the truck with a manual trans in it and the pedal is there but no linkages find a local wrecking yard auto recycler junkyard what ever theyre called in your area and try to find the missing parts. some parts will swap from other years or models but the wrecking yard is your best bet for info on what will work. assuming you have the clutch fork in the bellhousing youll need the pedal rod clutch shaft aka bellcrank shaft and its mounts and the adjustable clutch rod to the bellhousing fork. budd i recently bought an 85 ram 150 manual transmission from a friend of mine. the clutch pedal has no rod or linkage coming from it through the firewall. what is involved in fixing this problem can i buy everything as an assembly i have no idea what parts i need. any advice would be greatly appreciated. .

its a 98 3500 24v ram and as mentioned in another thread the horn is very difficult to operate. thats not the issue for me as i rarely use it anyway. when traveling im most comfortable with my hands @ the 4-5oclock and the 7-8oclock positions. the problem is the 4 spoke wheel and the two lower spokes are in the way. on the long haul 950mi each way my hands and fingers get sore. is there a three spoke wheel oem chrysler or other non cheep-o ie grant i can fit to this truck kend .

hello all this looks like just the place where someone might be able to answer my question. im thinking about buying a 1991 d-150 pickup automatic 5.2 liter v8 engine. i need to find out its towing capacity. it says right by the hitch unit that its 5000 pounds but my mothers nissan pathfinder 6 cylinder can pull that. if i have a weight-distributing hitch certainly this can pull much more than that i have called the dodge help line and they only have information back to 1995. anyone know the answers here thanks a ton. you can email me at msupra@verizon.net. melissa .

should cost $40ish. $80ish when dodge screws up your drain plug and trys to charge you for a new plug and gasket. cummings shop you need to try the yellow pages for more quotes. stopped in at a cummings shop and asked how much to change the oil and filter $174.00!! yikes is this right 12 quarts of oil and a filter for $174.00 does it take two hours or what what documentation do i need to change it myself and not get into warranty hassles al 2004 ho six speed. .
