i had a similar situation. same code. reset the gas cap and drove it. did not go off. went to the gas station remember when they were called service stations and filled the tank up. then it went off....for a week or two. came back on tried filling the tank again. did not go off. took it into the dealer and they replaced a pump and something else. dont have the paperwork readily handy or id be more specific. gary us wrote thanks! i just went out and checked the gas cap. i couldnt tell for sure but it might have been loose. ill take it out for a drive tomorrow and see what happens. thanks again doug im out in the california desert for the winter and just got a obdii code of p0441. the site says evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow. is this something to sweat or is it just from all the rain we have been having. we were hooking up and moving our trailer to get water when it came on. any help will be greatly appreciated. doug .

hi i have the 05 dakota quad cab with leather and power drivers seat. i need to have a headrest cover made and need to actually leave the headrest with the seamstress. i cant figure out how to pull it out. ive pushed the tab on the side of the first post which allow the headrest to slide up and down but it doesnt seem to allow it to slide out completely. is there some other trick to this any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks james .

keepitrunning wrote i have a 1987 ram 50. 189000 miles. i just charged my battery and started the truck then i let the truck sit overnight. now the battery is dead again. what drained my battery while it sat overnight the battery is less than 2 years old. any help did you charge the battery because it went down over the previous night or had it been sitting for a while i wouldnt rule out the battery yet--might not be able to hold a charge for long. with the battery charged stick a multimeter/ammeter between the negative lead and the negative terminal and see how much current is being drawn when the truck is shut off completely. i wouldnt think an 87 would have more than a ma or two if any coming off when shes shut down and thats only if she has clock and/or a computer somebody help me out here with that. make sure your dome light is out and the ignition switch is in the off position when you make your measurement--you want to read the current when the truck is in the same state that you had it overnight. .
