Q: i would like to clear one thing up though. it is my understanding that spam is loosely defined as blasting out unsolicited messages in some shape or form. in my own defense i actually had refrained from posting this link to the board. however after the long amsoil discussion on this board a little while back i recieved several emails from people asking to be notified about when my site had this functionality. reluctantly i posted and used the adv to make everyone aware of the topic of the message. furthermore i even tried to lighten the tone of the message by stating it was the synthetic that everybody loves to bash. this was a bit of tongue and cheek in relation to that long amsoil discussion on this board previously. what is spam it probably means different things to different people. imho spam messages are unsolicited advertisements. i treated the message as such knowing that you could take the criticism. i suggested the alternative to posting advertisements because i know you participate here. sarcasm doesnt translate well to written text. i think we both fell victim to that. i also related telemarketers to spammers. even if i like the products i wont buy anything from telemarketers either. im still trying to figure out the joe brophy reply. i thought it was pretty clear that i was referring to you not him. -- the jerk .

ps-the pipes fit perfectly around the spare and hitch... dont have much experience with the dakota but as far as the full size ram 5.9 ltr a jegs cat-back and a cold air intake made a slight performance increase in hp and gas mileage. the cat back replaced the stock muffler with tail pipe mufflers and gave it a mellow but powerful rumble. ninebal310 wrote hi all i have a 2001 dakota with the 4.7 v-8 that i bought new. now that it is out of warranty i want to install dual exhaust. what mufflers would give me the best performance. what problems can i expect in regards to mpg hp heat and etc. tia hank cat back systems havnt been proven to privide additional power or economy. people install them simply because they like the look and/or the sound. so you have to listen to a few mufflers in small blocks to get an idea of what you like. it can be a challange getting the pipes around things like the spare tire and the trailer hitch. but any good custom muffler shop not meineke can do it for you. if t

do you think that after 50000 miles she had more to worry about as far as corrosion in her cooling system was that one freeze plug an indicator that there may be more troubles to come thanks er sounds like freeze plug. i worked with a lady that had a 01 durango 318 with about 50000 miles on it. freeze plug rusted through on back side of engine. transmission had to be dropped to get to it. i think it cost her around $500.00 to have it done. bk on wed 24 nov 2004 231145 gmt roy roy@home.net wrote hey gang you may recall my post from a few weeks ago regarding the mysterious missing coolant. i reported that i could smell the sweet scent after parking. well i am off this week and made it a point to try and figure this out. i havent figured it out but maybe you can help. the coolant leaks very slowly. i filled the radiator and the overflow container up to five dots on the dipstick about 2 weeks ago and it is only at the second dot on the dipstick and the radiator is still full. here is where it isnt leaking no leaks from the radiator itself no leaks from the upper hose no leaks from the lower hose no leaks from the secondary overfill tank no leaks from the water pump no leaks from or around the thermostat housing here is what i found i crawled underneath and found a little anti-freeze pooling up on a frame support around the oil filter. further examination showed some concentration of anti-freeze along the lip where the oil pan bolts to the engine. i realized i had to figure where it was coming from and there is nothing i could see that indicated any thing dripping from above to that location. no trail no evidence at all. the truck runs like new and idles great too. here are the pics of where i see the anti-freeze hanging out http//jonesmendler.com/fmendler/coolantleak1 --this is from under the car http//jonesmendler.com/fmendler/coolantleak2 -- this is from the wheel well with the tire removed. thanks er freeze plug roy .
