From : r

Q: i am looking for a chip to increase mileage as opposed to performance as i am getting 10mpg and even 1 or 2 mpg increase would be acceptable. i do mostly freeway driving and am lightfooted but a 5.9l turning 36 tires does eat gas quick. any recommendations on a good reliable company .

i am looking for a chip to increase mileage so are the auto manufacturers.... it doesnt exist. mostly freeway driving and am lightfooted but a 5.9l turning 36 tires did you re-gear the truck when you added the larger tires you have the engine out of its power band and it has to work a lot harder against the higher overall gear ratio. .

jason purcell wrote is that a normal thing for fords to blow up when rear ended i mean pinto mustang police interceptors etc...i see a pattern. they might as well paint a bullzeye on the gass tank hanging down from the back of current mustangs like a plumbers butcrack it ruins the whole appearance of the car from the back. take a look at jeep wranglers and cherokees. the gas tank hangs down below the rear bumper. very exposed and i happened to witness what happens when rear ended. thing was fireball. nobody survived. .
