from what i have heard it does work. somehow the hho makes the gas burn better. the amish are converting their engines and say they are seeing savings in fuel. auto manufacturers trip over themselves to squeeze out a 1% fuel economy increase over their competition. if these things can improve that by 15-30% why arent they being offered on every vehicle sold out there 10 years ago everyone was all up in arms over the fuel savings of those stupid magnetic things on the fuel lines.... it aligns the molocules they said resulting in more efficient combustion and up to a 10% savings in fuel. yeah they didnt work either. water injection also known as anti-detonant injection is a method for cooling the combustion chambers of engines by adding water to the incoming fuel-air mixture allowing for greater compression ratios and largely eliminating the problem of engine knocking detonation. this effectively increases the octane rating of the fuel meaning that performance gains can be obtained when used in conjunction with a supercharger or turbocharger altered spark ignition timing and other modifications. http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/waterinjectionengines .

i use caustic soda and caustic potash for making biodiesel. how is it used in the hho process -- ken i believe that it is added to the water to increase its conductivity. thats interesting. i hope they arent using any aluminum or glass components. i have a large aluminum drip pan under my processor stand. it catches all the veg oil drips and spills. when it gets nasty i use a solution of caustic soda and water to clean it up. the caustic saponifies the oil and etches the aluminum surface. the drip pan comes out looking like brand new but if its left on for too long it can eat through the aluminum. my glass containers slowly get frosted up from the caustic also. its not a big deal for short periods but continuous use might not be a good idea. -- ken .

tom lawrence wrote auto manufacturers trip over themselves to squeeze out a 1% fuel economy increase over their competition. if these things can improve that by 15-30% why arent they being offered on every vehicle sold out there they cost $500-$1000 plus installation. they also require use of an additive that probably offsets the savings and requires owners attention frequently. not an easy sell even if it does work. .

geekboy wrote water injection water injection is not whats being discussed here. hho is. hho is not water injection. its hydrogen injection. the only relation between the two is the use of water. .
