Q: hey its what friends are for . . to keep each other around to tease the heck out of. vbg i promise not to mention your attire. did you say spare tire vbg roy budd the bad part denny to be completely honest is its hereditary for the most part. if your brother has it then youre an excellent candidate as well. sorry but its a fact of life my friend. diabetes is a terminal disease there is no cure it reduces the immune systems ability to fight infection and its been linked to causing heart problems among other things. most likely i will die from something related to my diabetes for instance but if i control it as carefully as possible i can still live to a ripe old age. if youre over 40 and this goes for anyone with a history of diabetes in their family to start having the a1c hemoglobin tests taken regularly. i was rough estimate a diabetic for a year and a half before it was found in me last january. i attend and get in trouble occasionally a group for diabetic support alt.support.diabetes and there is a ton of useful info there between the religious and political fight posts. there are other groups as well with excellent info but many are of british / australian origins. if i can be of help just email me ok budd no problem friend.. denny .

id prefer a standard motorcycle type throttle. the original cushman throttle was a simple sleeve device that worked in reverse from what is now conventional in that you rotated it away from you to accelerate and used a standard lawnmower style cable . . .yep prone to sticking and kinking and it was less than a quarter turn from idle to full throttle. the snowmobile / atv throttle conversion unit works ok just a bit too quick for my tastes. its enough that ive roughly doubled the horsepower of the scooter without adding a too quick throttle . . . vbg budd carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in budd have you tried a finger throttle after you get used to it itd be much easier to maintain a steady speed. however if there is a brake lever on the right side thatd present a problem. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. raleigh nc 27604 919-274-1192 loballeng@mindspring.com life is great when you dont have any issues to deal with c.c.d to email laszlo do you carry universal throttle assemblies for 7/8 handlebars i have a snowmobile / atv conversion throttle on my old cushman scooter that works a bit too quickly and makes it had to set a steady speed. budd carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in hello all...i have recently taken over the complete parts inventory of a kawasaki dealer that has gone out of business and have soooo much stuff here. all items at drastically reduced prices off retail...some as much as 50%. e-mail me your needs and ill see if i have it. still doing inventory so it may take a week or so to get my complete list. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. raleigh nc 27604 919-274-1192 loballeng@mindspring.com life is great when you dont have any issues to deal with .

lol i guess i should mention the engine on the scooter is a slightly modified briggs stratton 278 cc 7 hp 170408 series probably making closer to 9 hp now engine and ive already matched the cables pull to the engine governor bellcrank. its a case of the throttles cable pulley in the throttle housing having a larger diameter than a standard throttle. the housing is nearly 3 in diameter compared to only about 2 1/2 on most of the standard throttles ive seen. the end at the governor bellcrank has to be adapted by a short length of solid mower style throttle cable with a s bend to slip into the hole in the arm. currently im using a throttle cable stop clamp to hold it together. btw ive discovered a 72 bicycle brake cable is a good substitute for a too short throttle cable . . same cable diameter and barrel end. budd carolina watercraft works inc. loballeng@mindspring.com wrote in well...is there room to put a larger bell crank on the carb also have you looked at switching the cable ends on the carb to make it operate more conventionally ill keep an eye out as i go through this inventory to see what i have. id go take a peek at the bell crank and how much room you have to play with. im sure we can figure out a work-around and give you a more comfortable ratio. -- ------------------------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi carolina watercraft works inc. raleigh nc 27604 919-274-1192 loballeng@mindspring.com life is great when you dont have any issues to deal with id prefer a standard motorcycle type throttle. the original cushman throttle was a simple sleeve device that worked in reverse from what is now conventional in that you rotated it away from you to accelerate and used a standard lawnmower style cable . . .yep prone to sticking and kinking and it was less than a quarter turn from idle to full throttle. the snowmobile / atv throttle conversion unit works ok just a bit too quick for my tastes. its enough that ive roughly doubled the horsepower of the scooter without adding a too quick throttle . . . vbg budd .
