actually those lights on together mean that there is something wrong with the anti-lock system which may or may not be major. in most cases it indicates that the speed sensor in the rear axle has failed but that is not always the case. either way at worst it indicates that your anti-lock system is no longer functional and if you have just the rear anti-lock brakes i dont see it as any real loss at all. it is unlikely that the anti-brake light would illuminate due to a fluid leak. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving on tue 13 mar 2007 205638 -0400 napalmheart olsonfam@iserv.net wrote my 97 dakota has the abs & brake warning lights on in the dash. the brakes are still working with no apparent difference. would it be safe to still drive this truck until i can get it in to be scanned probably a couple of days i did the checks as indicated in my haynes manual parking brake not on fuses ok no apparent problems with wiring under the hood or at the rear-end speed sensor and found nothing. thanks ken id push very hard on the brake pedal when vehicle is running parked then look for a puddle of fluid under the truck. did you check the brake fluid level those warning lights usually mean the vehicle has a problem. how would you feel if something tragic happened .

no worries - i lusted after one ever since i saw it in a stude showroom at age 10 took a little over 40 years before the dream came true. spend some time here on the stude group you may find yourself infected with the studebaker bug. tom adkins wrote pat drnec wrote yeah whattaya got tom adkins wrote zoombot@cox.net wrote just added 9 studebaker websites to the studebaker page which had no current info at all. you guys jump in and add some more ok good deal! i am a fan of lincoln automobiles and ford products in general. ill see what i can add. btwi didnt know there was a stude group i have to admit that i never actually looked though. studebaker beyond their rather stodgy reputation made some pretty impressive vehicles. id give all of my vehicles for a real avanti. i should have added and my right arm. i was speaking rather tongue in cheek with that statement. ive wanted an avanti since i first saw one back in about 1975. i have a couple of nice mark viis a 69 mercury marauder x-100 and a 98 taurus. not near enough for a nice avanti. i wont part with the merc and the taurus is my priceless daily driver. the marks are $12k total. sorry pat i didnt mean to spark interest. i just meant that the avanti is a stude that ive admired and appreciated for a long time. i really wish i could afford one. -- remove the studebaker to email. the only label that fits http//www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article6966.shtml 1950 champion 1951 starlight coupe custom 1953 starlight coupe 1954 starlight coupe r1/4-speed 1958 silver hawk 1960 frua italia larks 2 - theyre here! 1962 lark vi 1962 lark convertible 1963 avanti r2 r4324 1963 lark daytona 1963 lark cruiser r2 3/4 clone in progress 1963 gt hawk 1963 daytona wagonaire 1964 cruiser survivor 1954 3r11 1956 2e7 1985 jeep cj-7 2004 porsche carrera 4s 2002 ducati 996 2002 jeep overland http//homepage.mac.com/pdrnec/photoalbum81.html .
