A fun day of auto service
From : edward ohare
Q: a year or so ago i posted here for advice on tire selection. ive noticed higher mileage tires tend not to hold their balance for the life of the tire and so i wanted a tire service package that included lifetime balance and rotation. and because i knew id be moving i needed to buy from a place with national coverage. so those requirements pointed to walmart. so in my new location saturday i went in for an oil change and tire rotate/balance. the service writer was obviously struggling with the computer but since he was probably new i didnt complain. i found out later he was from another department and working as service writer because an injury prevented him from doing his regular job. me i want an oil change with 10w30 and a tire rotate and balance. the tire work is free because i have the tire protection plan. handed him the receipt at this point. sw after struggling with the computer for a while and apparentlybeing uable to locate me have you been here before me not this location note he had my receipt which listed the location so he struggled along finally producing a work order with my old address and phone number not asking me for my current address and phone sw do you want a warranty on the tire work me its warranty or tire protection plan whatever you want to call it. i already paid for lifetime rotate and balance. so he took my keys and off i went to amuse myself. then i realized i had also wanted wiper refills so went back and told the sw to please add that. so he went out and told the mechanic. after an extending period of time slightly over two hours the truck was done this store has help wanted signs up and this was the second time id been there... the first time there were about 10 people ahead of me and after 20 minutes with the line barely moving i decided to return later. so before going over to pay i went to the truck and checked the oil change sticker to see if it said 10w30. it did. i had a previous incident where the automotive experts at walmart couldnt understand that preferred didnt mean required - the oil filler cap says 5w30 is preferred - and put in 5w30 despite my request. im sorry... ive run 5w30 in a snow blower and its so thin it wont stay on the dipstick long enough to read the level... not what i want in the truck. there were new wiper refills on the truck and marks on the wheels where old weights had been located. cool. i went in to pay. so i got the same sw for checkout and ahead of me in line was a woman trying to recover her car. they couldnt find the bill. me to the woman yknow if they cant find the bill its free! woman laugh oh ill pay. manager to sw heres the bill. someone else paid it and so somewhere we have an unpaid bill around. me to woman whisper tell them youll pay the lesser of the two bills. woman laugh youre funny. manager to sw here let me show you how to print another bill. so finally they got the woman checked out the manager went back to the shop and it was my turn. sw $59.xx. me thats not my bill. sw reads bill oil change tire service... me interupting no the tire service is free under the tire protection plan. its an oil change plus wiper refills. so off he goes to find the manager. they get the ring up voided and the manager shows the sw how to scan a new ticket and over ride the tire service prices to zero. then he leaves. so they hit me with the bill which is now $30 and i paid it. getting home i walked around the truck and noticed this was a lazy tire rotation. wheels with disc brake dust were on both rear locations and the slightly thinner tread tires were both on the right side meaning this was a simple front to rear rotation when it should have been either circular for someone somewhat less lazy or an x rotation for someone really paying attention. then i looked at the receipt... and saw with happiness they really did figure out the 4.7 is a six quart engine... well at least thats what they charged me for. and the kicker... in redoing the invoice they forgot to charge for the wiper refills. i figure with the long wait and the struggle with the trainee sw free wiper refills was cheaper for them than a complaint call by me to the big wigs. .

my nomex lol! we already have an overabundance of net nannies. you may not even recognize most of them theyre the regulars here. really care to explain last one that i felt like poking in the eye was budd the bible-thumping old whiner whos just so sick and tired of seeing posts about v-6s several times per year. huh v-6 posts- hide quoted text - - show quoted text - he doesnt know what the hell he is talking about roy his head is too far up snotard ass to anybody with a fourth grade education has the tools needed to crtique his posts. often enough but not this time. now that wasnt very flattering toward snoman was it nope. but your only defense in this thread so far has been that anyone who challenged your ridiculously phony could some one please translate this for me reply must be a snoman supporter. pretty empty but thats apparently all you can muster. since you have a problem with snomans post why dont you just state it honestly speak up. go ahead you can do it. if you dont ill state it for you. hear read or write in a manner that every one else can understand. about the only thing that we could all understand and slightly agree on was we were all sick of the bible thumping. -- in girum imus nocte et consumimur igni- hide quoted text - - show quoted text - how about you just go get fucked asshole. snotards post contrary to what you say did not make complete sense nor was it as comprehensive nobody argued that snomans post or anyone elses was comprehensive! grommets and something called railroad track were just a couple of suggestions given. as you would like to make everyone believe it to be. however if you were to read it with out your head up his ass or your mouth around his dick you might have noticed. sure maybe it was not as bad as most of his post but it was still a fucking mess that one would have to read a couple of times to understand what the hell he was trying to say. well lets just see. snomans first suggestion... go to a good hardware store and they should have gromments to fit hole and give it a nice finished look. find samllest one that will work for your needs and then get proper hole saw for its needed hole size. i see that snoman slightly misspelled two words grommets and smallest is that where you got lost i didnt even notice that before. i just read the sentence once and understood that it was about the smallest grommet that would for the ops needs. maybe it was snomans second suggestion that gave you such a hard time you can also use something that we used to cal railroad track that you line the edges on holes and chassis ends and you glue it in place. a good electroning supply house should have that. two more misspellings call is missing an l and electronics supply house has a couple of letters wrong. is that where you got stuck i had no problem with it at all. wheres the run-on sentence that you mentioned why dont you read the run on sentence from snotard. please point out the sentence you refer to. i mean if you can. honestly i could fucking care less if anything i say to or about snotard is flattering or not. youre lost. what *i* wrote often enough wasnt flattering. you do have problems. reading and writing are quite a struggle for you huh he is a dipshit and will continue to be called to the carpet every time he post something stupid. but this time he didnt post anything stupid. you did. if you dont like it kill file me ignore me what ever i dont fucking care. that about sums it up. i dont believe it does so ill sum it up azwiley1 is a punk. there was nothing wrong with snomans post. you guys found someone to pick on thats all. and when one of you runs into some unexpected difficulty as azwiley1 the punk has here the others chime in to give comfort and reassurance. yeah pretty much says it all i thiink. well yup! -- in girum imus nocte et consumimur igni . 222 332446 1309s84r0b2af03@corp.super.com on fri 23 mar 2007 134232 -0400 napalmheart olsonfam@iserv.net wrote is a cross rotation recommended for your truck i know it isnt for mine. dont know. however in this situation with more wear on the right side my fault since i went about 10000 without a rotation the x seems appropriate to me. i hadnt driven the truck at any speed at the time i first posted about this. got out on the highway later and found out it still has the shake. so either they didnt do a good balance or supported by addtionally a new drift to the left it has a bad tire. so it looks like ill have a chance to evaluate their diagnostic skills. im sure that there are others here with more expertise on this area than me but i dont remember having a vehicle that cross-rotation was recommended on since ive been buying cars with oem radial tires. the alternate rotation pattern in my trucks owners manual is front to back on
