Q: maybe you do maybe you dont but you are not the only two that read these threads and if i didnt respond to your initial post greg may have never known you posted it at all. rotflmbo!!!!! gee if he didnt read my post then how could he have resoponded to it if you actually follow the thread he didnt. he replied to you on my reply not your op. true but it still looks like youre correcting him for something he alreadsy knows. i was correcting nobody just giving a reason and btw it was not him posting binaries to a non-binary group. oh excuse me mr moderator-wannabe. long before you came to this group the general agreement was that binaries posted occasionally werent worth worrying about. lolcry me a river. how is this in any way any form of moderation i never said not to do anything only how the servers respond to it and your general agreement doesnt have a damn thing to do with it. you want to know what moderation your isiduous little binary posting remark is what. the wording is typical of someone trying to divert attention. and you really had no justification to give a reason or a correction on the matterr. as you said in the blower motor thread this is an unmoderated group and i can say whatever i want to about it. yep. and its something thet you have reminded more people about that i have. if you dont like it then try following your own advice again in the blower motor thread and set an example for me to follow. iow put up or shut up. tom youre all upset again . . . . and ive put up more times than youve shut-up. the sad thing budd is neither have the right. all they seem to do is make it easier for the rich to screw the poor pretty much like this current mining accident. what right are you talking about the party currently running things. so . . .neither of the party in power have the right . . . . your grammatical content is screwed up tom. is there a reason why you continuously have to be an asshole you know exactly what i mean since you blame the left for all of the problems of the world. do you always have to get your undies in a bunch when someone needs you to correct your lousy english are you really this desperate that you need to play stupid. at least i hope that you are playing. nope not playing at all. you get bent out of shape and start spouting indecipherable gibberish. so far it appears even you dont know what you meant. now will you explain what the heck you meant with that drivel sure budd your right wing has done no better for the people of this country than the left and in many cases worse. well opinions are like rectums and you have yours. but otoh reports from unbiased sources disagree with you. but you will find out when those medicade and medicare cuts go into effect compliments of bush and the right wing. why do i get the feeling this is an attempt to stir up my opinions on overpriced medications . . . its up to the voter to elect the best possible candidates then let them know they are responsible back to their constituents not big business not lobbyists not foreign countries. then you are definitely on the wrong side of the fence if that is what you want. the right has been owned by big business for a long time now and sadly the left is not all that far behind. rotflmbo!!!! tom why do you take every statement of how the government is supposed to work and turn it into a recruiting cry perhaps you should learn how to read entire sentences. i have really no better opinion of the left so exactly what party am i recruiting for what ever political affliation opposite of the group you say im a member of and since you repeatedly scorn my republican registration i can only believe you mean the republicans. talk about second rate sentence structure. of course i mean republicans. they are currently running the country. oh youre recruiting for the republicans now and if you dont think the dems / libs are influenced by big business then take another look at the total profits of hollywood and the environmentalists and then figure in the influence hollywood actors and environmentalists have on the democrat / liberal party. and this has to do with big business how duh!!!!! hollywood is big business tom. the difference here budd is giving them money is a choice while most big business it is not especially when it comes to things like energy where they rape us just about every day. and youre looking at the clean end of the stick. i menat the contributions of liberal actors / studios / producers who profit from monies paid for watching their movies which gets paid to liberal politicians. i figure you probably would rather ignore. it ranks right up there with anything the conservatives / republicans get. not really but you keep thinking that lol now youre

i have a 2001 dodge quadcab 4x4 with the cummins diesel for power. i am looking for a replacement seat for the driver that is either new oem or better. i think one of the issues is that any replacement i have found does not have the seat belt in the seat it must be fastened to the body which is hard to do in a quadcab. any suggestions peter .

the trans works fine and the fluid is not burnt. i have a generic scaner and i will keep it in the car till it happens again. where is the temp sensor part of the governor pressure sensor in the valve body .

the trans works fine and the fluid is not burnt. i have a generic scaner and i will keep it in the car till it happens again. where is the temp sensor thanks andy the o/d off light will come on the truck comes out of od and will not go back into overdrive. turn vehicle off and restart it will act normal. it may be fine for a few days then it does it again. any ideas andy could be a faulty temperature sensor in the transmission. the pcm will lock out od if it thinks the fluid is too hot. the only way to know for sure is to hook a drb3 dealer scan tool and see what temperature the sensor is reporting. if its the sensor replacement is simple enough but you should make sure thats whats wrong before just replacing it. the pcm may also set an obd-ii code for trans temp. which could be picked up by any generic obd-ii scan tool. i take it theres no drivability problems with the transmission no slipping or anything else that might actually cause the trans fluid to overheat a non-contact ir thermometer pointed at the transmission pan could verify the fluid temp - if its under 140f or so everythings fine. .

on tue 10 jan 2006 150529 gmt tbone tbonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote im stumped... ive taken out my alternator and had it tested - its fine. ive replaced my battery which was old and apparently only at 45% - so the new one should be fine... but the new battery saturday has drained and ive only done like 100km 60 miles. it seems like the alternator isnt charging the battery while im driving. is my fan belt loose i didnt see where i could tighten the bloody thing. heres some work that has been done on it since december 1. replaced heater core. 2. new ball joints. 3. fixed left light wires - my high beam was out but it wasnt the light itself - some wires were corroded. ive cleaned all of the leads in/around the battery so theyre clean. can anyone help you need to be a little more clear on how the new battery died. you did give a mileage but in relation to what did you put it in and drive right away and it died or did you put it in and drove that far and the next day it was dead or did you put it in and a few days later took that drive and it died after 100km you did mention a wiring problem due to corrosion and you could have a similar one on the charging side. do you have a volt meter if not i would suggest you get one as the low cost one are quite cheap anymore. if you have one check for voltage with the battery connected on the alternator output terminal engine not running. you should be getting battery voltage here and if not then you have a failed cable or blown fusible link. if you have voltage here start the truck and measure it again. it should now be higher around 14.5 volts and if so measure the voltage at the battery. it should be the same at the battery or within 1/10th of a volt difference. if it is lower than that you have a corroded connection from the alternator to the battery. if the voltage on the alternator output is still at battery voltage 12v with the engine running your alternator is not charging which could be a problem in the regulation side like a bad field wire or a computer failure. as a final test if everything else checks out is to put a load on the system headlights on and check the voltages at those two points again. if the voltage is now different between these two points then again you have a corroded connection between the alt and the battery. if everything checks out ok it looks like you might have something that is now constantly drawing current. post back your results form your checks and we can go forward from there. when you indicate that the rig charging or discharging do you mean the battery is totall dead and wont run the vehicle or are you watching the voltage being measured by the in-dash voltmeter changing from 13+ volts to something less than 12 volts if your serpentine belt is original or has any visible cracks on the ribbed side of the belt it likely is reaching the end of its useful life and should be replaced. there is no actual adjustmet for it however with this vehicle it is advisable to also replace the spring tensioner at the same time. any belt squealing heard is also a telltale sign. my 99 would squeal when cold sometimes and on occaision when turning the steering close to its limit when cold. put on a new gates belt and a new tensioiner and it has been fine since approx 25k miles ago. does the battery retain a charge any better if you disconnect the negative lead when you are not using the rig if you havent tried it might provide additional insight. also if there is something continuiously draining juice from the battery regardless if you are driving it or not with the battery disconnected try measuring the resistance in ohms between the two disconnected leads in the vehicle using your trusty voltmeter which is usually referring to a multimeter radio shack or harbor freight have meters that will do the job for less than 15$ sometimes less than 5$ on sale. if something is loading the battery you will read a fairly low resistance on the ohms scale of your meter. if it is normal you should read almost nothing an open circuit with no way to draw amps from the battery. some things to checck out anyway. good luck regards joe. .
