99 Dak: Low Coolant/No Leaks!
From : eggraid
Q: take a flash lite and look at the base of the thermostat housing the gasket is probably seeping and going out that way all let me know what you think. i have noticed that when i get out of my truck i can smell the sweet scent of warm antifreeze. thorough inspections dont show any sign of leaks at all. i checked the fluid level and it was pretty low...very surprising as i always watch my driveway and parking spots for any signs of leaks. a colleague suggested it might be a bad cap so i refilled the radiator and overflow put on a new cap and will see what happens. thoughts er .

hello all i can say that i have learned so much from groups over the years and hopefully have been able to share a bit of that with others too. maybe you all have some experiences with this. my 1999 dodge dakota sport single cab v6 3.9 is sitting at around 96000 miles as of today. i am approaching the big 100k and thought i would see what type of things other than the scheduled maintenance you all might have had experiences with. of course i am at that spot in life where there are a few things going on and the last thing i need is for my truck to give up on me. i am a little nervous that i might be hitting a spot where some things will start popping up. currently the only problems i have are 1. the slow coolant leaked discussed in this forum this week. working on that already 2. electric door locks dont seem to want to work with the buttons anymore 3. very loud squeaky suspension. i mean this thing aches and moans over every bump in the road. that is really it. thanks for your input! er .

yeah sounds so-o-o good but we dont have to salute any ranks either . . .. cept maybe our wives . . . the first few years that i was in the military i didnt understand the salute. i felt stupid doing it and couldnt imagine anyone else wanting to do it either. it seemed like a silly tradition and it was just another thing that we were forced to do. now its a matter of personal pride. its kind of like the motorcycle or corvette wave only better. perhaps your wife is worthy of a salute but would she understand it if you gave her one .

when was the last time the trans fluid was changed could be a clogged filter. brad wartman wrote greetings i own a 92 dakota with 115k miles and has the v6 engine and an automatic transmission in it. lately ive noticed that when the engine is cold the transmission has difficulty in shifting out of first gear and into overdrive. when cold the transmission will wait until itsgoing 15-20 mph before it shifts and wont shift into od until the engines been running for 10-15 minutes. when the engine/transmission are warmed up theres no problem. any suggestions thanks in advance for your help! .

on sat 13 nov 2004 200251 gmt ramworker not@aol.com wrote scott peterson was found guilty of first degree murder of his wife lacy. i never saw enough hard evidence that would have proven that to me beyond a shadow of doubt but then i was not in the court room. he was also found guilty of second degree murder in the death of his unborn son conner. if sometime earlier lacy had taken a leisurely stroll down to the local abortion clinic she could have had conner killed legally. the courts have ruled that life begins at birth .. not at conception. so..... how can scott be guilty of murdering a fetus that was never legally alive how could he even be charged with that the courts seem to want to have it both ways. so many garys ..so.. clyde first its reasonable doubt not shadow of a doubt. you are correct. my mistake. an oldtimers brain twitch. second you werent in court and arent part of the jury. third i have no idea whether of not hes guilty but i wouldnt second guess the jury based on accounts. i said that in a round about way in the post. no disputing your fetus point. thank you. so many garys ..so.. clyde .
