98 ram quad 5.2L oil pressure drops

Q: my 98 quadcab recently starting losing oil pressure for about 2-3 seconds enough time for the gage cluster to ding twice. after dinging the gage goes from 0 back up to 40 lbs. it only does it at a stop at idle and not all the time. 81000 miles. could it be the pump or sending unit going bad and how do i tell wont do it on highway or when moving. has required amount of oil in it and was changed 2 months ago. id opt for the sending unit and hope. roy .

have a dodge van - full size with 318 fi - has intermittent low or rough idle. it does sometimes smooth out but when i shut it off then turn it back on it idles too low to run without foot on gas. will aso then stall when stopping for light. i changed cap and rotor - made it run much better but it wasnt the problem with this intermittent low and rough idle. engine otherwise runs great on highway and has no lifter or valve noise. any help is appreciated! thanx bob d. .
