fmb fmbb@sbcglobal.net wrote in does any one have a power rear sliding window in there truck am thinking of buying one think it would be handy seeing as i have a quad cab and a long reach. am wonder how hard it is to install or if i should just pay the price and have it installed thats an option i would like too. did you find any the cool way to do it would be to have the whole solid glass piece slide down behind the seat into the cab wall. just like the old wagons where the rear glass slid down into the tailgate. .

read the codes in the computer turn the ignition keyswitch on and off three timeswithout starting the engine and count the number of times the check engine light in the dash flashes. these are your diagnostic codes they should help you find the problem. you can find the code chart on line or in any repair book for chrysler products. good luck. .

engines and have been persuaded in this direction. my major question is the difference between the 1997 and the early 1998 cummins 12 valves are the 97 dodges the same as the 1998s prior to the 24 valve yes... the 12vs from 94 thru 98 are essentially the exact same engine. and for either the 97 or 98 what is the most effective engine mods to perform for reliability or enhanced performance on the reliability side the number 1 problem area on these engines is the infamous killer dowel pin. this is an alignment pin located inside the front gear case thats used during assembly. the problem is it can work itself out and fall into the gear train often with catastrophic results. fortunately its also pretty simple to fix. tst products http//www.tstproducts.com sells a repair kit to secure the dowel pin and prevent it from falling out. on the performance side tst also sells kits to increase engine output. the fuel in the near future. will the mods made to a 12 valve be compatible with the new fuel regs well it wont hurt it any more lets put it that way. all the power mods do is allow the injection pump to put more fuel into the engine. i think the jurys still out on what the uls fuels will do to the 12vs injection pump however its the toughest of the pumps out there so it will in all likelihood be just fine - maybe with the occasional fuel additive for lubricity. .

saw this site http//speedbleeder.zoovy.com/ and would like any users input - good or bad before i decide about a purchase. gimmick junk greatest thing since sliced bread speedbleeders are for real and are very handy if you dont have a vacuum pump. ive used them before and they work very well. the stainless would be less likely to freeze up rust in the caliper so if youre in a climate thats prone to rust the stainless may be worth the extra money. .

stephen harding wrote still some serious problems with fuel cell technology for automotive purposes though. the volume problem seems fairly serious. how do you pack enough h2 in the car to get a reasonable distance how do you store the h2 safely where do you get the h2 from its energy intensive to produce but i think this technology is going to fly! maybe 10 years and not just in cars. instead of those aa batteries powering all your electronics youll have a refillable miniature fuel cell that will do the job. in the meantime perhaps the prospect of $3/gal gasoline will get america more serious about alternative energy. its only been 30 years since the first wake up call gas crisis! i think h2 is the next fuel for cars but i agree there are issues to resolve before it becomes mainstream. hybrids arent a technology that will last or have much effect. they arent replacing gas guzzling suvs on the road. .

i was going to ask you how much longer were you going to keep it on the = road but..... i have never seen the splines stripped from a wiper motor before they = must really be making them with low cost material back in 94. back in my days of working at gm dealers i would see the copper rivets = wear out on the windshield wiper transmissions the part was around eight = dollars a side the labor was about a hour at a whopping $35.00 a hour. i glad you found a temporary fix. on thu 24 mar 2005 110557 -0800 private person ries@ccountry.net wrote based on your post and the nothing to lose principle ive ended up drilling a hole thru the wiper arm and into the motor shaft to secure it with a stainless steel screw and a small amount of epoxy. it appears to = be holding though i have a new van on order and only need it to last = another month or so. thanks for your reply. 1997 sfa 60920 199819992000200120022003 ama 602785 due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect. add a - between mr and wizard this is what we have to do to prevent spamming sucks doesnt it .

tom lawrence wrote welcome to the dodge dakota lemon club! i have a 2002 that has had some of the same problems and many more. i filed a lemon law suit and got cash for my troubles. excuse me - but when you have a perfectly good working truck then tear the whole dash out put it back and all of a sudden have several seemingly unrelated electrical problems its not because the truck is a lemon. the idle problem is caused by the programing of the pcm. and this programming got changed by him replacing the heater core that is my thinking on the subject tom. the fact that there is such a clear demarcation point for the start of all the troubles really does point the finger back at something i did. one thing i did not mention and it may be sort of important. immediately after i replace the brake booster the roaring was much diminished but gradually increased to the previous levels within about and hour. the tone is slightly different now. it stilled died at stopping but not as badly at first. i really do think the brake booster is involved somehow but most likely just as a victim. -- this is by far the hardest lesson about freedom. it goes against instinct and morality to just sit back and watch people make mistakes. we want to help them which means control them and their decisions but in doing so we actually hurt them and ourselves. .
