97 RAM faded front bumper question

Q: tbone wrote you could simply say and you did that its nowhere near as bad as they are claiming where did i say this there goes your desire to argue where no argument exists. go ahead tbone make some more spin bs up toi fill your argumentative desires. i know you can do it. i dont have to others who have much more skill than i do already did that. but they didnt. no proof that 100% of the 1800 deaths were caused by a poorly designed gas tank. now dont run and hide as you always do. show your proof of your claim. more complete bullshit. the lawyers may have their opinions on the facts and numbers but the facts and numbers are not a lawyers opinion. what is the facts then tbone ok 1800 people died from fire after an accident. from that you seem to conclude that all 1800 were a result of a poorly designed gas tank. the first statement might be fact even though you havent shown any source. your conclusion is what is opinion. got it yet tbone .

i have no clue -- im not the original owner. this morning the coolant level had dropped about 1/3rd of the overflow bottle. has the water pump ever been changed out especially to an after-market one ok so i bled the air out of the radiator -- there was definately a bubble in there a big one. other things to note that may help troubleshoot... after running the engine for a good 30 minutes including a very short drive around the block the front of the radiator is totally cool to the touch. maybe i didnt run it enough to feel the heat. the fan works and blows a ton of air but the arrow did creep very slightly lower at speed. it also creeped a hair lower when i revved it in neutral. im accounting the first to air movement over the radiator the second to higher pressure from the water pump but what do i know.. someone also mentioned loosening the hex screw on the cap to let air out but since i bled it by starting/stopping the engine with the heat on full bore and filling up when the level dropped significantly do i still need to the temp is now stable at 200 where it always is but does that mean its fixed is it safe to drive all i have a 95 ram 2500 v8 magnum about 120k miles.. about two weeks ago the temp gauge went nuts and almost redlined. i found my coolant reservoir almost empty. i topped off the radiator and the reservoir while engine was dead-cold and everything was peachy again. today 2 weeks later the temp was fine this morning but on my way home 20 mile drive spiked again and i found the reservoir empty. i dont think its leaking i didnt see any drippage or anything after it sat a full night in the driveway but then again antifreeze evaporates pretty quick... anyone have any thoughts before i take it to a dealer hell even if i need to take it in id like to have something useful to tell them... help! .

steve@carolinabreezehvac steve@removethis.carolinabreezehvac.com wrote i just asked a dealer about the tsb and they said it is only covered under 12000 miles or 1 year. is this the truth a tsb isnt warranty. brakes are covered for the first 12 months or 12000 miles. yea...its that way with every make..gm to volvo.. what he could try since the tsb includes replacing the calipers is to pay for turning the rotors with the on car brake lathe and warr could buy the calipers. calipers are 3/36 so maybe his dealer will work with him on this... denny .

ah the old hand micrometer . . . a truly specific test would call for a dial indicator not your right index finger. also when i bring the car into the garage lift i open the window and listen for unique sounds. ok. . . . looking also at tire wear if the customer admits to not rotating them. some people can wear tires out evenly withpout rotating them . . . but they tend to drive like idiots. vbg ase certs dont impress me. expired certs even less. you claim expertese in suspensions yet you dont know the correct procedures for testing differing suspension types. im not renewing my ase certs after getting my bachelors. my previous post didnt mention load bearing ball joints its not common enough in the shop. neither did it mention air suspension. ever lifted a cadillac hehe.... springs only support the weight regardless of type its the linkages balljoints and arms that keep the wheels between the ditches. tell me something a pop quiz front alignment specs from factory are 1 1/2 degree positve caster 1 degree positive camber l&r and 1/4 toe-in. if i set caster at 3 degrees positive 0 camber and 1/16 toe-in what will it do to my handling its been 15 years since i wrenched. but at a guess assuming all stock parts including tires/wheels it would be nice to know if these specs are for a car or truck...big difference actually either one ... car or truck with non-parallel unequal length ifs say 60s mopar geometry.. more positive caster gives high speed stability more negative camber is great for hard cornering and you definitely dont want too little or too much toe. a slight toe-out increases turn-in dramatically. 3 degree caster will make it abit hard to steer at low speeds. sorry power steering. half a degree camber should not affect it but 0 should give it better cornering also depends on bump steer. really not much change on toe but it will affect mostly trucks. the specs given were what ive set my last three front ends at in my drive with just a torpedo level and a measuring tape. one was a 64 valiant a 68 fury and a 79 d-150 tire wear was normal and cornering greatly improved. the specs i usually deal with are the differences betw left side and right side. +-3 l caster with +- 2 r camber with +-1 toe. fixing directional pull and tire wear problems. some vehicles have no options in changing either caster or camber. unfortunately youre correct on the last part. what you are describing is modifying from oem specs. i do the opposite i modify them back to spec. then you werent modifying you were restoring them. my specialty is motorcycle suspension raced ama 750 supersport for 6 years. i cant decide if you have more guts or just crazier than i am . . . maybe both bg i dont race trucks so i wouldnt know how it would handle at high speeds with those specs. in a word stable. sorry alex but youre not building any credibility with me. heh why not i could always say im a master mechanic who can fix anything.and just google up answers to your questions. i didnt pass the engine diagnostic ase test. my mind was completely drained after taking all the other tests. -a|ex my point is there will always be a correct way to do things and 99% of your modern techs couldnt do them right if their lives depended on it. true mechanics are a dying breed . . . . budd . 222 289538 cj52d.55$pk4.46@fe2.columbus.rr.com ok if you insist but it is very shade-tree. on my 95 i took this back to black liquid stuff for putting on tires to make them nice and black and rubbed it on the bumper cover. after it dried i sprayed it with some other kind of aerosol tire dressing stuff. since then i spray it about 2-3 times a year with that tire dressing stuff and it keeps it looking ok. take your pick on the brand i just pick up whatever happens to look good at the time. i try to keep my work truck looking nice but it will never be a show truck if you know what i mean. denny come on someone must have some suggestions here i know that there are a few model years from 96 to 99 or later that had this same problem ... hi ive got a 97 ram 1500 and the top part of the front bumper is supposed to be black but it is so faded that it looks like its grey now. i know that all of these trucks have the same issue so there must be something that can bring the color back. what are people using to fix this thanks. greg please reply to the email address as well if you dont mind. .

the most ive shot mine at any one time is 15 rounds and yes my arm was getting a little tired. im fairly accurate for the 1st five shots and then i start spreading them out a bit. i have absolutely no use for this gun other than to say i have one and to go play now and then. im not much of a hunter and there aint no grizzly bears in ohio but its kinda like do you really need that hemi in the anglea g my favorite is my p95 ruger. i can shoot for approx 10 cents a round and its fun to shoot. i think my next toy is gonna be a model 1 american derringer. im curious how a .45 acp/.410 is gonna feel in that little gun. denny youre not locking your elbows with that beast are you hold them firm but slightly bent so some of the recoil is absorbed before it gets to your shoulders. budd nope. i shoot that gun from the weaver stance with the elbows bent. and the funny thing is that after each shot i find the corners of my mouth are stretched out towards my ears till it hurts. i cant figure this one out yet. denny .

miles... tnx. i will check my warranty. john hose from solenoid valve hose from tank to canister hose from canister to engine compartment plastic hose manifold on canister bad leak test pump on my 2001 ram i had one hose split open and the hose manifold was cracked. it was covered under warranty. the standard warranty emissions warranty and extended warranty will all cover most of these issues. my understanding is this system is to prevent gas fumes from being vented to the atmosphere. it does not normally cause any engine running problems but will fail some states emissions tests. jpc wrote i have two codes in memory and an engine light on p0455....large leak evap. sys.----what might this one be p0442....small leak evap. sys.----i assume this is the gas cap although it has been there for several weeks and several removal and replacing gas cap.---what else could this one be 2002 dakota quad 3.9 johnc .
