97 Dodge 1500 4x4

Q: any advice is greatly appreciated when i put my truck into 4x4 and turn the wheels i get a what sound like a grinding sound from the front end at slow speeds.. any ideas ive asked my local garage guy and he said it could be this could be that....have enough $$ hell fixed it for me.. .
