he said that he replaced it. try to replace thermostat. old ones can wear out. it cost no more than 10 bucks for it. then ur all set. my opinion larry ramby wrote this truck surges a few hundred rpms during warm up. it also takes a very long time for the truck to warm up. engine temp. will hard start to climb after 15 minutes of running. engine is 3.9l fuel injected and our mornings around here have been about 0 degrees f. changed out the thermostat and even checked the old one in a pan of boiling water. thermostat opened just before water boiled and is marked 195 degrees same as the one i replaced it with. .

geekboy wrote sazrac wrote ok my cummins was running rough occasionally. i take it to the dealer last week get a bit of a bs story a fuel system cleaning and sent on my merry way. oh btw its got about 2800 miles on it on 06 3500. today i was sitting in the truck in park running the engine at different rpms. idle seems to be set at about 800 rpms and it will hold that steady. if i push the accelerator pedal to get the rpms to 1000 the rpms will go from 1000 to just about 1100 then back to 1000. the cycle repeats at about 5 to 7 second intervals. other than at idle there doesnt seem to be any rpm ive tried from 900 to 2000 that this doesnt happen. it is virtually impossible to hold a steady above idle rpm and the variance is anywhere from 50 to 100 rpms at 5 to 7 second intervals. i doubt if this is normal but if it is let me know. otherwise id sure appreciate any opinions on here about what might be happening before i have to go back to the dealer. thanks in advance for any opinions. intake grid cycling watch the volt meter. when the rpm drops does the voltage drop too if my heater blower is running on high i can hear the fan speed change when the grid cycles. the headlights even dim a bit when the grid is on. -- ken tell me more about that issue. i dont have an idle problem but on my 2000 i hear a click and the lights in side the truck dim outside not even on and another click they brighten. no heater or anything else running. its not an issue. its normal for the diesel engine in the ram. if you have a diesel engine read this http//www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/faq/coldwx.htm okay thanks for that info. i got the truck this past april and never noticed it until like a few days ago and its been cold quite often if yours is a gas engine its probably the air conditioner compressor cycling. when my heater grid cycles i dont hear a click but when my compressor cycles i do. -- ken .

yabahoobs wrote mormons in general are very nice people. you cant deny their annoying-ness though...if you dont believe me move to utah. i get annoyed at the difficulty in just buying a real beer in utah. in restaurants one cant buy a real beer at the bar/lounge area. real beer can only be served with a meal in the main restaurant seating area. they get around this law by placing some bread and butter on your table and calling that your meal. one messed up state! .

the modern mormon church is running from their polygamist past as fast as they possibly can. the modern mormon church is all about integration and presentation of a normal facade of their church and congregants to mainstream america. this as the most lds raised people are leaving the church as ever before. .

i have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and i am getting rear end noise. you will start to hear it at 30 mph and gets real noticable @ 50 but at 70 it is less noticable. it does not seem to change in pitch with speed. it is like a hum.... when putting under load is when you will hear it. at coasting it all but goes away. there is 87000 mi on it. any ideas i was told that it may be a pinion bearing... could it be that just there is to much lash sorry but no its either a bearing or a bad ring and pinion. id almost bet its a bearing. al .

tbone wrote data taken out of contex or data missing key pieces is worthless but you knew that right yes i realize you toss out any data that doesnt support your claim that global warming is whats making it so cold and snowy. what variance miles the water temp or the air temp or both hint for ya tbone. as the air temp goes up the water temp goes up but only if sustained and not just a week or two. it takes far longer with a deep lake. you still cant handle the fact that the water temp for jan. and feb. is right where it always is this time of year 33-34f. you also fail to note that the same region was way below average temps last year air. was that global warming as well why hasnt chicago or south bend gotten 9 feet of snow theyve been rather warm this year. what exactly does that have to do with this oh thats right not a damn thing. oh but it does. lake erie water temps do vary lake ontario does not very much. if you understood why you wouldnt keep up your absurd claims. .

on feb 12 1046 am nathan in montana montanajee...@aol.com wrote show yourself you fucking vegetable. translaiton -- no i cannot prove anything ive said how bout since the king freak flds guy was arrested. flds is not the mormon church! they are an entirely different church made up of former members who were excommunicated from the real mormon church. the real mormon church like any church is not a static entity. it responds to outside input. like trying to make policy changes that normalize its congregants. like making policy changes to encourage heterogeneity to expand its churches reach influence and income. this is not a stretch and it shouldnt be to you nathan...even in montana. .

that would make such a fundamental error. i have to think that it is amazing that no student challenged that information and presented evidence of the truth. ken ive worked in el centro california for a while. it gets hotter than 112f there in the shade in july. i didnt boil. it must be the 43 ft below sea level altitude. -- the other ken .
