for my 96 i went to a wiper blade that was 2 shorter than stock. made a big differance more pressure per inch. lose 1 of wiper coverage at the bottom that nobody over 3 years old would notice and 1 inch at the top that even at 67 i dont miss. gary carter thanks for the info- ill see about getting a pair tommorrow forgot to mention that i already tried that- didnt help. think i bent it about a 1/4. should i go more steve wrote maybe someone out there has a similar problem... my 96 ram doesnt wipers do not clean the windshield well on the drivers side. leaves a streak right in my line of sight. problem does not occur when driving around town just at hiway speeds. have changed blades exchanged arms with the pass. side put on those stupid wiper spoilersand rubbed down the windshield with polishing compound with no change. any suggestions thanks i had the same problem with my 01 ram. i just bent the wiper arm just a little to put more pressure on the windshield. problem solved. bob -- takeoff is an option. landing is a must! and in the end on wheels we will depend. had the same problem with my 00 ram wiper float someone recommended a product available from napa auto parts called wiper snuggies iirc anyways they were cheap and come in chrome or black theyre just helper springs that put more pressure on the wipers although when i got them the pressure they applied was way heavy so i tweaked em some to lighten up the pressure but even so they apply a lot more than the stock setup does have not had a probelm going on 4+ years now shepherds we shall be for thee my lord for thee power hath decended forth from thy hand so our feet may swiftly carry out thy command we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be in nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti .
