96 Dakota Fuel Problem

From : john heinecke

Q: i was told on this dakota that the check valve i dont know if thats actually what its called is located in the tank with the fuel pump. correct. i guess my question is this if i replace the fuel pump will this fix the problem or is the check valve another part that needs to be replaced its all part of the fuel pump module so yes a new fuel pump module will get you a new checkvalve as well. .

so heres the million dollar question am i currently frying something by having two battery tenders connected id put one away as a spare. and another million dollar question. if i were to unplug one of the battery tenders as i currently have them configured the remaining battery tender would charge both batteries with no other cables or configuration needed almost like magic. if so i can use the spare battery tender for my boat battery. yeah... you meant to get one for your boat. thats the ticket .

well my friend... i put too large of a cotter pin through the castle nut because the original one snapped. i then had to pull the new and too large one out. my eyes arent as good as they used to be so i lowered my glasses and took a good close look at the job site and grunted and groaned until it broke free... right into my ugly face. so... i have two impact points one above and one below my eyes that look like triages that miraculously corresponded to the shape of the craftsman needle nose locking pliers i was using. my girlfriend who was helping me said youre bleeding! i like a true male quoted jesse ventura from the movie predator and exclaimed i dont have time to bleed. plus for good measure my useless forehead took the brunt of my successful extraction and is reminding me of my success by raising to the occasion. i will probably have a lot of questions about the tie rod end but will read up a bit before i make a further fool of myself. thanks steve on jun 16 451pm tom lawrence tnloaswpraemnmcie...@earthlink.net wrote slight wobble in the 3-9 oclock position. it is 90% better but im tie rod end. assuming i am looking at an additional problem. i also have two cuts and lump on my forhead because i did get the cotterpin out. please dont ask.... nope... gotta ask. now fess up... .
