96 1500 no fuel being pumped
From : nightowl1
Q: i have a 96 ram 1500 4x2 with 260000 miles all i can say is change oil trans. fluid/filter grease what is greasable change rear axle oil. buy whatever type of lubes you like i myself have had great luck with the mobil 1 products and do the above religiously! also i use the k&n air and oil filters. i replaced my timing chain and gears at 120k and 240k just to be on the safe side and rebuilt the top end at 240k and put in a oil pump at same timeagain just to be on the safe side. someone told me to avoid running with your gas tank with 1/4 tank or less the gas cools your fuel pump so the less gas in your tank the less cooling for the fuel pump. good luck dmso i would like to do some preventive maintenance on my 1999 dodge ram. i have about 60 k miles on it. i do have a repair anual and will follow its steps but i wanted to hear some tips from experienced persons. thanks i .

wrong again asshat whats the matter gary still upset over the torque converter an o2 sensor outputs high volts when the difference between inside and outside o2 levels is maximum zero volts when they are the same you are wrong as well asswipe. while you are correct on the response for oxygen content it does not compare the outside to the exhausr stream. it looks at the % content of oxygen in the exhaust stream only. so high volts would mean there is no o2 in the exhaust stream hence it is running very rich already not always. if the senssor is always high or high as in above expected voltages the computer will flag it as a problem which in this case it did and go into open loop mode which just about always results in lower mileage although sometimes in more power as well. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

you dont have to have hands on experience with something to understand how it works and i have said many times that i am not an automotive transmission expert but that is exactly what makes this so funny. great. good to know you have all this expertise without hands on experience. now tell me whats wrong with the e250 that wont go into reverse. if you understand it then explain it. lol whats the matter max the problem got you stumped -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .
