94 dakota wiring harness
From : mulatz
Q: hi all i just had a wonderful time fixing a wiring problem on my dakota 318 w/ 4x4. i hopped into the truck and tried to start the beast. the engine turned over fine but it refused to start there was no sputter even. i thought it might be a no spark or b no fuel. i checked the fuses and relays and they were all fine. i had the fuel pump changed a couple months ago so that should not have been the problem. while i was under the hood checking the fuses and relays all looked fine i thought to give the wiring harness on the drivers side a shake. i hopped in the truck and it started right away. with the truck running i wiggled the harness again and the truck died immediately. what the!! i peeled the tape away and dicovered that there is a soldered connection where 4 wires red with white stripe join. 1 of these wires was corroded bad enough that it snapped from the connection and everything was grounding out to the frame of the truck. i managed to re-attach the wires and everything is fine now. im wondering though...is this an isolated instance i dont think battery acid got that far up the harness ever. are there any other connections i should look at as well any thoughts would be great. kirk .
