three or so years ago there was a guy in the group that worked at a dodge dealership and was able to run the vin number for my 1989 dodge ram truck and give me all kinds of neat information about it like factory options recall work done and not done original selling dealer etc. was wondering if he was still around... wondering about the heritage of my dodge dynasty thanks mark that probably was me. email me with your vin # and i will look it up for you. mike -- adopt an orphan i did 1976 chevrolet nova 08/2004-01/2005 1993 mercury cougar 01/2005-05/2005 1986 dodge aries se 05/2005-09/2005 1991 dodge dynasty le 09/2005- .

john wrote when i turn on my headlights the left blinker indicator stays on and solid even when im not using the left turn signel. i get the same behavior without the headlights turned on when i use the left turn signal. the actual blinker appears to have the same behavior as the indicator. the right blinker functions properly at all times. i hope there is a relay somewhere that i can replace. anybody know where that relay might be does this sound more like an electrical short thanks in advance john have you checked all of the light bulbs on the left side .

bruce porter wrote are you sure the guage isnt bad or the connector isnt corroded/loose did the shop test the pressure with a guage mrmjb wrote i have a 1996 ram that looses oil pressure after it warms and you put it in gear. have had the oil pump replaced and engine flushed. need help bad. thanks also never flush a engine that you suspect oil pressure problems with it can make matters worse. if pressure has been verified the bearings are likely worn out. one thing you can try to do to milk it out for a while is to use some 15w40 in it as it should boost pressure. do not use 5w30 ever if you are having oil pressure problems. ----------------- www.thesnoman.com .

with this pump winter is fast approaching us and i dont want to get caught out in the cold....thanks for any constructive replies... jim . 222 306181 11jm0br9b67k437@corp.super.com i have a 1998 dodge 3500 slt laramie diesel supercab dually. i bought the truck new and it really has been a good truck so far. i has only 90 thousand kilometers. canada here in 2000 i took the truck to the dodge dealership as i had a whine in the power steering pump that would be very loud when i started the truck on cold mornings -10-20 degrees celcius. the power steering pump would whine when the truck sat idling until after about 2-3 minutes or so. it sounded like the pump was being bottomed out or the pump was low on oil. the dodge dealership said that these trucks come from the south with heavier oil and we should be using a lighter oil up here in canada to deal with colder temps....so they drained the steering pump and put in a lighter synthetic oil for the cooler temperatures. i thought the problem was fixed as the sound went away for about 5 years... now i get a whine when i turn too sharply and can feel it in the steering wheel without bottoming out. its not even cold outside yet....it goes away when i am driving straight and making slow turns...but when i turn sharp it really does whine... oil levels are good. my question is this....is this power steering pump on its way out... if it is i have time to replace it myself....any tests that a guy can do with this pump winter is fast approaching us and i dont want to get caught out in the cold....thanks for any constructive replies... jim .
