94 Dakota abs warning lamps

Q: hi all several months ago the brake pedal would shudder when applying brakes under normal conditions. this problem continued off and on for some time. eventually the brakes performed properly but the two brake panel lamps are always lit. now its time to go through deq and they wont have anything to do with it while these lamps indicate a problem. any ideas how to trouble shoot this also is there a way that i can get the computer codes and if so how is this info deciphered thanks for any and all help jim burns .
