94 2500 turbo "D" auto / tranny jumps in/out of OD
From : charlie
Q: i have a 94 desiel / the automatic tranny. i have 188k miles on it / no troubles till now. the trany is bouncing in and out of od while at a steady speed. below 45 is not a problem and above 75 is ok. seams to be more predominate during cool wet weather. im lost. can some one help. modifications are 1 the temp sensor on the trany oil line has been replaced with a 6800 ohm resistor this will allow the trany to go into averdrive befor the oil temp gets warm. i know bad idea but i know of this so i take it easy till the temp gauge comes up. i would rather do this than spin the shit out of a cold engine. 2nd mod. i got into the pump a little! slid the fuel plate a bit and a couple of turns on the aneroid screw. it runs great and pulls like a bear. these mods have over 100k on them wth no problem. the fliud presures are on the hi side of normal. ive had it to dodge and 2 tranny shops to no avail. any ideas are welcome. thanks .

thanks roy i kinda was going twards the throtle position sensor myself but i guess i was hoping for an easier fix like maybe changing the dome lite or a fuse!! well change the dome light and a fuse. maybe youll scare it into working correctly.g heres a easier fix. a brake light switch will cause the same problem. hold up on the brake pedal while in cruise and see what happens. roy .

so you have a 3500 dually 4x4 cummins so you have two race cars one a 535 inch injected alcohol keith black all aluminum hemi in a dragster and a 440 70 challenger. what was your point here pissing contest wow am i ever imprest. if you put the hemi and all wheel drive together there is no such thing as fuel mileage people dont buy trucks for economical reasons. buy an import for better mileage. you ought to read your history before opening your mouth and telling us about your ignorance. were was my ignorance you were the one who said something about it being 70s recycled junk. i am sorry i look at my 2004 dodge 4x4 laramie awd with a hemi and i see a company that has come a real long way with there products not a piece of recycled junk. thats why i have a 3500 dually 4x4 cummins you dont know people or history very well do you first hint of an embargo on gasoline like in the 70s and people will be dumping full size all wheel drives in droves you ought to read your history before opening your mouth and telling us about your ignorance. oh and i also have two race cars one a 535 inch injected alcohol keith black all aluminum hemi in a dragster and a 440 70 challenger now heres your sign hey redneck if thats the way you wanna look at it then you should not own a dodge ram with a v8 let alone the hemi. there is no such thing as fuel mileage with a hemi in the first place. like i said before they only thing i ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .
