actually theres statistically nothing out of the ordinary on hurricanes. the disaster mode is more a matter of media hype and of course large scale development in areas where you shouldnt build a fishing cabin. bill does the weather this year seem a bit extreme so far hurricanes all over the place tuisami sp earthquakes torrential rains and floods. if this continues the winter will be a real bitch especially with heating costs going through the roof. been raining here for the past week serious flood to the north and west. unfuckingbelieveable. roy .

edward g kinezian wrote hi there is there any way to run a bulb test on the instrument panel of a 98 dakota. my cruise control is difficult to engage but does work but the light never activates on the instrument panel. i think it could be the bulb or the control switch. if there was a way to test the bulb i would just get another switch. also do you have to take off both screws holding the center of the steering wheel off to get to the switch connector. thanks for your help ed your instrument panel shoud do an automatic bulb check lighting all the indicators when you first turn the key on. an oddity on my 99 2500 is that my 4x4 bulb doesnt light when the key is first turned on but it works when the transfer case is engaged. all other indicator bulbs check good during the key-on test. -- ken .

my 99 durango has started fogging from the interior vents. when the a/c is on it blows a thick fog out of all vents. it is so thick you have to open the windows to see. if i move the temp control to warmer it immediately stops fogging. i am leaning towards either a plugged drain i cant find the drain or a leaking heater core. the fog has a pronounced oily feel and a slight anti-freeze odor. any ideas thanks in advance for any info. .

my 05 3500 does the same thing lights on or off. doesnt seem to cause a problem and still have no idea what the cause is. andy on 2005-09-25 033201 -0400 jay jaysmith@insightbb.com said yes i have an 05 ram and even with the light off and the truck running it looks like its flickers havent had the truck but a week and tonight driving home from the lake with the boat in tow. i noticed something a little odd. i thought. when running with the low beams on i would intermittently see the high beam indicator flicker. nothing major the lights them selves didnt seem to switch to high even momentaraly. no biggie just odd. so my question is.. has any one else noticed/heard of this. is it normal for these dr trucks this was the first time driving at night with the new truck. chris .

big al wrote need help with a coleman ac shroud. mine vanished! al over there. watch out for 351cj and a guy who calls himself mike simmons. gee..... thanks! btw camping world has replacement shrouds for your coleman a/c unit. the oem shroud is a fairly thin plastic that degrades with exposure to sunlight. the constant vibration and buffeting causes the shroud to crack and eventually fly off. i just took a 3000 mile trip with my rv and prolly saw two or three shrouds alongside the interstate. using a uv inhibitor like 303 protectant will keep the shroud in better shape longer but eventually they all let loose. www.campingworld.com hope this helps! mike the guy to watch out for! ^ mike thanks for the info. i called them and they have the original and a replacement that has a lifetime warranty. why should i watch out for you al .

big al wrote my 92 w250 360 v8 wont start. some initial tests proved it has no spark. so i tried to check for voltage at the coil primary with a test lamp. nothing. got out my scanner and checked for codes none. went into the actuator test menu and did the coil check. has good spark. if the distributor was not outputting pulses from the pickup coil i should have fault code 11. no distributor reference signal detected during engine cranking. is there something im missing any backyard distributor tests i can do to be confident i have signal btw the truck ran perfect the day before yesterday. and it rained last night. if this was an old nash i would expect it not to start after a little rain al have you tried a timing light if you have spark it should flash when cranking. ive never tried it but it should work on the coil wire too. -- ken found it. pack rats or some other rodents ate the wires just past the distributor connector. way up under the emission solenoids on the passengers side valve cover. this is not going to be fun to repair. this makes about ten pack rat repairs on my vehicles in the last three years. no more mister nice guy i need to get serious and get rid of them. they got another car of mine three times and i still havent found the last problem in it. this is the second time they got this truck in the last month. first time they ate the wires off the temperature sender for the ecm. al .
