92 Dakota Oil Light

Q: to anyone who can help. on my 92 dakota with an 5.2l engine i have the following problem. the oil light comes on intermittly but the oil gauge looks good. the gauge stays in the normal range and the truck runs great..i have replaced the oil sending unit but the problem still comes back. .
