'92 3/4 ton van steering box question

Q: i put a rebuilt box in about a year ago and its shot again. the mechanics tell me that there is nothing else wrong and that dodge just make a crappy box even factory new boxes get sloppy quick. is there a better solution than replacing the box every year or so .
