89 Doge vibrates

From : roger rabbid

Q: are u guys talking about the noise that u hear on the right side of the vehicle we have a new durango and my buddy has a new 1500 and he pointed out the sound to me. but it was coming more from the right side. we both have about the same miles around 2000. jl wrote they all sound the same. change the oil and put in 10w-30 and it should take care of the noise. it seems the 5w-30 it comes with is too thin for this engine. bill wrote i have a new 1500 with the hemi and at idle it sounds like a diesel not sure if it is the lifters or something else. has anyone else with a new hemi noticed this noise. i have less than 1200 miles on the truck and if it isnt a normal sound for a new hemi then i guess i am about to become very acquainted with my dealers service department and have to read my lemon law booklet. ----== posted via feeds.com - unlimited-uncensored-secure usenet ==---- http//www.feeds.com the #1 group service in the world! 100000 groups ---= east/west-coast server farms - total privacy via encryption =--- .

are you sure because my reader says all cars 1996 up the engine codes obtained in this manner are somewhat vague. to find out whats really happening go over to an autozone parts store. they have an obdii scan tool and will happily read out the codes for you at no charge. except a 96 ram truck isnt an obd-ii system... .

i do have a rattle that showed up somewhere behind the dash today somewhere between the radio and the right side vent. no amount of holding anything would make it quit. it sounds like a metal tab of some sort vibrating when im at idle but it goes away after im gone up the road. ive not had the oportunity to take anything apart on this truck as yet it is still very young and im not too tempted to get my fingers into it right away. so far the plan is to pull the radio and see what i can see from there. any suggestions after that 2003 2500 laramie ctd 4wd with 52k miles -- fmb only one b in fmb .

spend 99 at the parts store for an actron reader for obd2 codes. it is definetely worth it as it will erase as well. my chevy truck codes can be checked with a wire counting flashes...my dads caddy can be checked by airconditioner switch....is there a way to check my truck without paying 80 dollars to dodge house .
