Q: if it does i will! there are only 2 dealerships i trust here in houston and neither is dodge unfortunately. i never doubted they had the knowledge i just cant stand the markup they charge for simple services and their refusal to give an honest answer even if its i dont know. followup day one. i put approx 66 miles on the truck today. no not much but unusual for me since my normal daily commute averages 45 miles round trip. drove over city streets inbound at 6am. not much traffic at that hour but still several traffic lights to sit at 35 in all by actual count. fortunately we made it through at least 2/3 of those on green. sitting at the few traffic lights i did manage to catch the truck felt like it was idling quite smoothly essentially like new. go down 225 to pasadena. they tore the damn freeway up literally and havent been back out for over 2 weeks now to repave it. i almost wrecked my car twice now and have to go the long way bw8 around to work. i have been getting a p0302 error cylinder 2 for 3 years now on my 99 4x4 360. i have replaced everything from the plug to the rotor and it never clears. i had the injectors flushed and it left for 200 miles then came back so i am trying the cc cleaner this weekend. i even replaced the injector no change. was about to pay a damn dealer to fix so i am glad i read about this. well if it works for you you can thank a damn dealer for the suggestion..... ;^ mike .

coasty wrote they better use atf+4 as per the tsb it replaces atf+3. do not let a shop talk you into any thing different. i had mine done at the $tealer for $99.00 total. actually the tsp does not say atf+4 replaces atf+3. what it does say is atf+4 is to be used in all vehicles from the manufacture with atf+4 already put in and it is recommended that vehicles with atf+3 be changed to atf+4. the present tsp superseded one from a few years ago that stated that vehicles that came from the factory with atf+3 may continue to use atf+3. so that word recommended is not a order to the service tech to make the change against the customers wish. my truck is a 99 and all it has ever known is atf+3. however all this is mute as chrysler announced last month in response to marketplace demands and evolving vehicle technology chrysler group has established a licensing program for its advanced synthetic automatic transmission fluid atf+4r. this program will allow atf+4 to be made available at retail outlets and through independent repair facilities for chrysler jeepr and dodge vehicle automatic transmissions beginning september 1 2005. they go on to say atf+4 is approved for use in older transmissions and will be utilized in all future chrysler group vehicles. the previous mopar atf+3 formulation will be discontinued. so eventually atf+4 is all there is going to be available. .
