86 Ramcharger, Need Help

Q: i just bought a 86 ramcharger rc 4x4 from a friend. what i need help with is the steering i have been doing some searching on the internet and i have found a lot of people having trouble with there steering in the 70s & 80s dodge ramchargers. the steering feels like there is no effort in turning the wheel going around a corner from a stop the steering wheel will not start to comeback to center on its own the front end components check out ok. also the steering column has about a inch or so up and down play in it where the tilt adjustment is. one other thing when shifting from park to reverse or drive to reverse there is a loud clunk i was told that it was most likely the rear transmission mount. what do you think thanks for the help .
