had a car where the cable became disconnected at the latch .. had to crawl under car with coat hanger and reach up around all the stuff to activate the latch .. pretty frustrating but worked. hi folks new to the group heres my woe i have an 85 small v8 pickup i need to change the water pump on. problem is when i went to open the hood via the cable release under the dash it snapped right at the point of closure for the hood. nope cant change my water pump from the bottom. so any wizards out there with a clue how i open the hood without the use of a recip saw any serious advice would be very cool thanks peace .
