stephen harding wrote furthermore it is now estimated that china will supplant the us as the #1 greenhouse gas emitter in a mere 9 years instead of the formerly predicted 12-15 years. china isnt covered under kyoto. and neither are india indonesia or brazil i believe all up and coming global polluters. any country considered developing is exempt even if they signed it. .

craig c. wrote christ youre thick. for the umpteenth time a set of command and control laws with levels that cannot be violated. not vouchers to be traded! thats a plan wow you should run for office. we have the engineers. we have the technology. we need government support and enforcement. thats your plan of action wow really well thought out there. and we should. were more advanced. btw our rules arent nearly as tight as the uk. they are way ahead of us. in fact most of western europe is ahead of us. we just now got low sulfer diesel. theyve had for years. they also have the kind of command and control laws that we need. they do not have across the board tougher pollution regulations. been to london lately its still a sewer. the thames river while far better than it was 100 years ago is still polluted. its difficult to measure the air problems there as they simply export their pollution. similar to areas such as san francisco. no smog there but they sure produce it. my *any* plan could help prevent your sorry ass from getting cancer. do you know how much cancer causing agents we breathe and drink do you know how much worse it is now since bush took office trouble is you do not have a plan at all. just a bunch of worthless rhetoric. were in agreement that we need a better plan. but i dont have a solution at the moment and neither do you. solve no. greatly improve our standards for the time ... clinton carter and nixon. especially nixon. he did more for the environment than anyone else. he established the epa. he had high hopes for the epa but it turned out just being the bastard child of the government. i say establish reasonable standards and give them some power to enforce them. none did a thing. they all passed legislature that sounded good and got approval from people such as yourself. in the end it was all just more worthless bs. lawmakers are great at writing feel good laws to get your vote but doing something that actually works is quite another. thats the point you seem to continue to fail at. my hatred is for people that think on a factor of scale we pollute less. thats a cop out. you sound more like greasy republican politician every post. that was in answer to your claim that the usa doesnt do much for pollution. thats complete bull. go buy a car anywhere else in the world and see what smog controls it has on it compared to the usa. .

suddenly without warning roy exclaimed 05-jan-07 214 am a couple of days ago there was talk about how we should or shouldnt be in iraq. anyway somebody and i i apologize cause i dont remember who were going back and forth about the amount of deaths that was visited upon the civilians by saddam. as to why we should stop him. i was watching discovery about two nuns who were put on trial for crimes against humanity in belgium for their actions in rwanda. a few things jumped out. evidence showed that the catholic church tried to derail the whole trial. but heres the part that got me that makes saddam a rank rookie when it came to mass murder. this was one tribe against another ethnic cleansing in the fast lane. in a period of 90 days over 1 million members of the tutsi were killed. documentation showed that in one 8 hour period over 65000 were killed. bear in mind that most of this was done mostly with machetes not machine guns. that is unbelievable. i read some years ago that there was a war going on but wasnt aware of this. im friggn well amazed at the numbers! these figures are crazy. no outside action by the un by the us nobody. actually the un pulled out then after a period of time talked about going back. this im sure doesnt matter in our discussions but the figures just blew me away. roy neither the un or the us are interested cause rwanda doesnt have anything they want or need. if they had oil wed have been there since 1994 no doubt. though im becoming less and less sure that we have the right to stick our noses in any other countrys conflict. the us has enough problems at home we shouldnt be the worlds police. jmc .

are you factoring in the fact that a dry oil filter will suck up about a quart of oil i dont get it. truck is a 2005 fleet version slt 2wd reg. cab w/4.7l v8. i purchased it a few months ago from fastenal. actually their leasing company ge fleet services. first time i had the oil changed the oil change place said it would take 7 qts of oil to fill it. i told them not to. the book says only 6. i then took it to a dealer. they said they must have miss counted because it was a quart low. i took it back to the same place as before. again they said it need 7. theyre not using bulk oil in it. and we counted the bottles kendall gt-1 synthetic blend. i trust the people doing it. ive been getting my oil changed there for years. it needed 7 to fill to the full mark. does this thing have an oversized oil pan the dealer i bought my jeep liberty from says no. they also sell dodge trucks. any ideas ping mike s. ed dowdy fithian il .

oh gee whiz golly wow . . .i didnt see the invisible ot-budd not allowed to respond statement in this thread. oh i committed a horrible sin of posting a reply to a post by the great roy in an unmoderated group!!!! will god ever forgive me heck yeah!!! will roy probably not but i dont give a flying fig big deal fox broke the about the graft and corruption a few months ago roy. sheesh! all the liberal media reported is the stuff you mentioned. of course liberals always cover the butts of other liberals . . .until its better not to. budd ah the liberal un peacekeepers in inaction again . . . you just cant help yourself can ya the un sent peacekeepers who promptly looked away took bribes and generally did nothing and you are surprised no they were in country and pulled out then returned. maybe you should try fox they reported this moths ago. maybe you should should stop you endless crap and looking for a problem. you should know from past experience that your continued screwing around always ends with you playing the victim and crying about it. you had your last at the other thread if you care to continue........... oh fox just reported this a couple of months ago it happened in 1994. -- posted via a free usenet account from http//www.tera.com .

craig c. wrote miles wrote then look where they are such as phoenix denver las vegas etc. phoenix or las vegas no thanks. denver ... maybe ... but after doing a quick search on careerbuilder and monster its not as rosey a picture as you paint. career builder hmm...now i see your trouble. better than 80% of upper end jobs are not advertised anywhere except perhaps at high end agencies that specialize in that field. you have to seek them out. career builder isnt going to find the jobs youre looking for. it wont list any of the jobs at my firm nor any of our major clients. ill take the weather in phoenix any day over anywhere in the frigid normally mid-west and east and the miserably hot and humid south. great thing about phoenix is the climate changes dramatically with just a 1 hour drive. i can water ski on a lake on a saturday and be snow skiing the slopes on sunday and be home for dinner both days. cant beat it!! .

update to i just got word back from the dealer who got it from the factory that dodge no longer offers this mirror on dakotas - which also explains why the factory-installed uconnect i wanted was not available for this truck. the rationale for cutting the mirror is cost saving effort. i guess that includes the under-hood lamp i was expecting to see as well as the liberal use of abs plastic for the interior. rant after hearing of the huge expenses being paid by major auto manufacturers for labor pensions and medical benefits i have to wonder was my mirror aftermarket retail = $100 the victim of these other expenses yes its a small thing but frankly every car has four wheels and a motor. its the small things that distinguishes one model from another or one trim package from another and when im willing to spend this much cash i expect a commensurate level of luxury - and chrome on the bumper isnt luxury. /rant despite this not-quite-minor irritant im satisfied with the truck so far. it rides much smoother than my 2000 dakota both are 4x4. the 2007 truck reminds me of a chevy ride without the chevy roll in the turns. i also like how the all-wheel-drive i have in the 2007 deters skids. both trucks have anti-spin rear ends and it was pretty easy to get the rear end of the 2000 loose on wet roads. the awd seems to do a good job pulling through the turns to make it more difficult to skid the rear end. i havent tried the abs brakes yet but i sprung for the 4-wheel version and im anxious to see how well they work. getting the 4.7l engine was a good call. it gets nearly the same mileage as the 3.9l in my 2000 but ive got a lot more power available to me now. i drove it 450 miles down i-81 along the shenandoah valley/blue ridge mountains and the transmission didnt seem to shift more than i expected. the cruise control held a constant speed and i was pleasantly surprised to see it downshift to hold its speed going downhill. this may be a standard feature on other makes/models but im coming from a manual transmission and i havent seen this happen on other automatics ive driven. maybe the others were just smoother about it. another kudo the tiedowns in the bed. the rubber plugs covering the front tiedowns in my 2000 truck were a pita. i didnt want to leave them out to let debris get in the tiedown holes and it was not always convenient to pull them out before attempting to put a load in the bed meaning id have to shift the load or put it partially in the bed to let me pull the plugs. the sidemounted tiedowns of the 2007 are a better idea - and i like how theyre shaped to allow quick and easy ties with thin rope even though i tend to use straps with hooks. i got the sunroof quad cab and i have only about 1 inch clearance between my head and the headliner im 62. this isnt too bad and i was able to adjust the seating position to get me a bit more clearance. still i can feel the occasional hair catching the headliner. the jury is still out regarding whether my next vehicle will have a sunroof. the wife loves them but im not yet a die-hard fan - and i may opt for the extra headroom next time. i do wish dc would add a mist feature to their windshield wipers. no it doesnt kill me or cause carpal tunnel syndrome to flick the wipers on/off but it seems every other make i drive has a mist feature and its disappointing dc doesnt. all in all i can see myself driving this truck for 6+ years but unless dc shows me theyre willing to respect my hard-earned cash for their top-of-the-line package my next one may well be a different make. -- john t http//sage1solutions.com/blogs/tknoflyer reduce spam. use sender policy framework http//openspf.org .
