Q: ok thank you both for your suggestions. i am off to the parts store. i hope its good. dddd the clay bar wont remove the clearcoat. one solvent that will work is acrysolv or 3m body solvent which is sold at good parts stores. hope this helps! chryco service manager member sae i thought about that but i am concerned because the sap is on the truck so thick. if i keep rubbing with a clay bar i am afraid that i will rub off some or most of the clear coat in the area. is that really a possibility dddd get a clay bar and rub it out. ive had dried sap on my trucks and the clay bar took it off. remember to wax your truck afterwards because as i remember clay also takes the wax off. on sat 6 mar 2004 050204 -0500 dddd someone@some.one wrote ive got a 2003 ram 1500 and i used it to haul some pine trees i had to cut down. i let it set too long before washing and now have pine sap all along the side and back of the bed. i have tried goo-gone polish and even paint thinner and nothing touches it. any suggestions other than not to do that again dddd its mr. rather b. beachen to you ratherbbeachen@hotmail.com .
