Q: i added a can of the restore for 6 cyl engines to my 95 dakota and it has stopped smoking on start up and is running smoother. thanks guys. john .

make sure your battery is in good shape by voltage and load testing it. it may crank over ok but my not provide voltage regulation because of an internal problem which can cause idle instability. if it passes you may want to try cleaning the throttle body but make sure you remove the idle air control motor and clean the pintle and seat while you are in there. this will improve idle quality especially if you have a lot of miles on the vehicle. jeff 97 dodge 5.9 it idles fine when first starting but after a couple of minutes it will not idle. runs smooth otherwise. any typical problems greg .
