Q: i guess my last post thanking everyone managed to go on vacation because it hasnt posted yet. thanks for all the advice. i used to work for firestone/bridgestone as a mechanic many years ago when the blizzaks were introduced. great tires but im guessing they will wear out too quickly in amarillo considering the miles i put on my truck. they would have been great when i was up in the cascades and the snow stayed on the trails all winter long. great winter tire i agree. if i had the time and space id keep a set on spare rims and swap them out as needed. im afraid that id burn through a set before the season was out. ill take a good look at them tomorrow. last time i worked for fire/bridgestone they only had one model of blizzak and they didnt go on trucks. ill probably take a look at the michelin ltx m/s also. the blizzaks that laz mentioned the w 965 are designed for a truck your size. they are have very small blocks with a bunch of sipes. you can get them in load range e which is something to look for with the others as well. i dont know what you run for temps out there but i used mine from nov. to april with no undo wear here in ma. good luck! roy .

snip these substances and people types -- in various combinations -- kill 44000 of u.s. citizens a year. its been like this for decades. but nothing substantive is ever done to reduce this carnage. because nobody cares. if nobody cared the m.a.d. organization wouldnt exist. if nobody cared the emt and highway patrol professions wouldnt exist and youd simply be left on the side of the road as road kill. george the great tragedy of science -- the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact. - thomas huxley .

how exactly did you order it i would go on-line and build another one and see if the auto-dimming feature is still available. if so i would print out the build sheet and bring it back to the dealer and have him explain how it is still available on dcs web site. if he / she still insists on it not being offered i would insist on speaking to a factory rep to confirm it and ask why it is still on the web site. it sounds to me more like the dealer screwed up on the order and doesnt want to have to re-order the truck because iirc putting one of these into a truck that doesnt already have it can be very expensive and he doesnt want to pay up for that either. the mirror isnt a separate option. all the docs ive seen say its part of the laramie package and the owners manual describes it if installed. i may be sol on this but im upgrading from a 2000 dakota sport that had the auto-dimming mirror an under-hood light not so on the 07 laramie bigger washer fluid bottle and a less plasticy interior than the 07 laramie. it just seems dc is going cheap on the little things no less when im willing to spend the money to get their top of the line package. these are small items in the scheme of things but i do feel a bit cheated at the moment. -- john t reduce spam. use sender policy framework http//openspf.org .
