i recently had my windshield replaced in my 2004 dodge ram 1500 and no matter what we do it still leaks water around the bolt covers on the handles on each side of the windshield. i have been back to the installer 4 times already. they have sealed the windshield both inside and out and pressure tested checked the seals around the windshield and they cant seem to find the source of the water. spraying a water hose on the truck doesnt cause it to leak. then everytime it sits still and it rains for a while it starts leaking again. i just took the interior pieces out while it was leaking from the rain and i cant see any water coming out. tried pouring more water on it and still no water is visibly leaking. has anyone else had the same problem or any suggestions .

azwiley1 wrote its not illegal to have it up front it is illegal for the driver to watch it. slight difference but as we know a cop could be an ass any time they wanted too. the ass is the guy watching video while driving. not the cop that slaps him down. jam what makes him/her anymore of an ass then the ass talking on the cell phone yet it still happens and is illegal in some states also. because when you are talking on a cell phone at least your eyes are still on the road unless you are dialing it and those doing it in states where it is illegal should also be pulled over and ticketed. i have to use my cell many times while on the road but at least im smart enough to use a blue tooth adapter so i dont have to pick up the phone for anything and then it is no more distracting then talking to a passenger in the vehicle. what really pisses me off are those assholes that actually read the paper while on the road and driving. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving i agree with you on the reading the paper or a book or using a palm to take notes what ever. however i will say that you are an exception to cell phone use. at least here most people do not have bt and have the phone glues to the ear with a coffee or what ever in the other hand. also not everyone has the ability to multi-task ever see the hand talked driving if the hands are moving about whos driving. im sorry but i think they should enforce nationwide what they try to do here ticket you if you are talking with a heavy fine. you are suppose to pull off the road here if you are on the phone. .

miles thanks so much for your help this group is helpful on subjects and i appreciate it it seems the whole thing got off on is it legal or not. i just wanted to know how to do it. i have worked in electronics for 20 years and just need some insight to do it. why invent the wheel all over again if someone has done it and can help. again thanks so much azwiley1 wrote op i am sorry if you think that anyone here has not tried to help but simply put again what you are trying to do is not simple or straight forward and there is no unplug wire a plug in adaptor b etc... answer to this. more info on this mod that has been done by several including how to add video output from the ves dvd unit. i hope this answers the ops original question. http//www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.phpt=122185&highlight=ves+video .

does any one have idea what this stuff is. according to the dealership they claim this is normal and it is only this year and type of engine that does this. i have never seen this kind of crap on and in the oil fill pipe. it is normal for that engine i assume you have the 4.7l v8. its condensation thats making its way up the fill tube mixing with the residual oil and creating that gook. .
