2005 3500 Dually has a problem

From : moparman

Q: i own a 1998 dodge durango with a 318 with almost 200k miles. i really want to put in a 360. have any of you done this before i am trying to find out what snags i am going to encounter doing this. my biggest concern is the fuel supply and computer. i am pretty certain that the 360 will go in place of the 318 pretty easily. if any of you have any info or websites you could help me with it would be greatly appreciated. thanks plaidfro at hotmail dot com i am betting you will find what you need here. http//www.hughesengines.com/ .

their website claims otherwise. best i can tell you get the base setting and everything else is adjusted by fluid pressure which would be more with a heavier load. thats what i mean... you have to adjust it for the base setting which is what it seems youre unhappy about with the prodigy. im sure i can figure it out but im concerned about trying to teach the wifey how to figure it out. again... get it dialed in properly for the empty trailer then just adjust the boost based on how much stuff you have in the trailer. .

youll have to adjust that one as well. their website claims otherwise. best i can tell you get the base setting and everything else is adjusted by fluid pressure which would be more with a heavier load. thousands of people use the prodigy for everything from a small utility trailer up through the 30+ 5th wheels... its not that hard. im sure i can figure it out but im concerned about trying to teach the wifey how to figure it out. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

yup! i have the 20 tires & i plan on buying the bf goodrich all terrain= tkos. i had then on a 1994 jimmy & a 1999 jimmy & they will really = bite in the snow. thanks for the reply! kurt on sat 04 jun 2005 123043 gmt todd riegel triegel@wi.rr.com wrote i had the same problem with my 03. its the tires if you have the 20= =20 wheels. the tread pattern and width on the tires that come stock = really=20 suck in the snow. i put bf goodrich all terrain kos on and they are = 200%=20 better in the snow here in wisconsin. i have the factory anti-slip in my 05 ram 1500 hemi & it sucks in snow while in 4x4 or 4x2 but! driving in snow sucks with just about any vehicle. seriously i am not impressed with the anti-spin on the dodge but i do love the locker my son has in his 04 blazer! on sat 21 may 2005 181215 -0600 nathan w. collier montanajeeper@aol.com wrote it sux that if ordered new the option is only $285.00. oh well... keep in mind that the anti-slip factory option is not positive = posi traction. positive traction refers to a locker and limited slip is = not the same as a locker. the new power wagon has real lockers anything = less is only limited slip and while its a bit better than an open=20 differential its still only limited slip. due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect.=20 due to e-mail spamming bots my reply address is incorrect. .

i dont know if they are the oem headlights these days or if they are the after market upgraded lights but they are really bright! a guy i worked with showed me how he modified high beam headlamp bases to fit in the low beam light sockets on his 300-xz. its very easy to do. he doesnt care about blinding oncoming traffic. i constantly reminded him that he is a jackass. yet another reason i carry a 12 gauge i call it my dimmer switch with an attitude!! -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

trey wrote so would a bone stock 1995 dodge neon benefit from 91 over 87 that depends if you drive it in hot weather with a/c on it will likely run a good bit better because it will either ping like crazy or retard the spark so much to prevent it that it will lose power and performance. if you drive in cool weather and do not use a/c you should get by on 87 just fine. -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-octane-octane-savvy-ftopict123018.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=600140 .

if you add a k & n fuel filter i hear it lets more diesel pass more quickly than the mopar one does. then would you not be putting in more fuel just a thought when i go to the gas station it holds entirely too much fuel and cost too much money. im thinking of adding a k&n fuel filter i hear it lets more diesel pass more quickly than the mopar one does. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .
