the 5.2s are famous for sucking in the intake plemnum gasket. i dont know if the 4.7 has the same problem. no plenum gasket problem on the 4.7l .

i have since found cheaper prices. i was just using these two for comparision because they happen to be at the same dealer. my big question was v6 or v8. the 4.7l v8 is definitely more powerful but its also aluminum so ten years down the road when the heads are all cracked and leaky chrysler will refuse to make any replacement parts for you while the cast iron v6s keep on chugging. no i dont have a crystal ball thats just a projection based on chryslers past behavior. .

virgil the 600 is the one with the firmware problems. the 555s are bulletproof. steve i have a 2004 ram 3500 with the cummins h.o. engine and 6-speed hd trans. what is the story on the torque how can i tell if i have the 555lb-ft engine or the 600 any ideas .
