if im not mistaken the bullydog is a re-badged edge product. i dont believe so... bullydog does their own r&d. the only edge product for the isbe is the ez which has four levels not three and is not in-cab adjustable. the same can be said for bds box which is a re-badged van aaken. correct. heres all you could ever want to know about performance modules for the common-rails http//www.nwbombers.com/membersites/doug/fuelingboxsummary.htm theres a link at the bottom of that document to a comparative matrix viewable here http//www.nwbombers.com/membersites/doug/matrix.htm .

thats what ive seen too its a piggy back ecm. any sort of electronic power aids in a diesel will never gain you fuel economy to make more power in a diesel you have to dump in more fuel its just that simple. if im not mistaken the bullydog is a re-badged edge product. i dont believe so... bullydog does their own r&d. the only edge product for the isbe is the ez which has four levels not three and is not in-cab adjustable. the same can be said for bds box which is a re-badged van aaken. correct. heres all you could ever want to know about performance modules for the common-rails http//www.nwbombers.com/membersites/doug/fuelingboxsummary.htm theres a link at the bottom of that document to a comparative matrix viewable here http//www.nwbombers.com/membersites/doug/matrix.htm .

thats what ive seen too its a piggy back ecm. any sort of electronic power aids in a diesel will never gain you fuel economy to make more power wrong. my tst box for example can be adjusted to advance the injection timing without increasing the amount of fuel delivery. this results in a hp gain of +29hp at the wheels as well as a 3mpg increase in economy. the hp gain was observed on a chassis dyno and the mpg increase was observed across two tanks of fuel calculating mpg by hand each time not relying on the overhead computer which is thrown off by the fueling boxes. others have experienced slight mpg gains with fuel pressure boxes - again the higher pressure results in better atomization of the fuel which nets more power produced per given volume of fuel. however with both boxes turned up to put 500hp down at the wheels my fuel economy drops about 1.5mpg. i used to get 18mpg - i now get about 16.5mpg. however compared to my 275rwhp v10 which got between 8.5 and 9.5mpg im still much happier burning oil in a diesel you have to dump in more fuel its just that simple. actually its not. the science art of making power in a diesel is every bit as involved as that of a gas engine. .
