nosp@m.com | snip | i know i can just refuel when the light comes on but thats not the | point. im running out of gas before i hit empty and i dont know if the | calibration error will get worse. ive taken it to the dealer 4 times and | they said they cant find anything wrong. has anybody else run into this | problem or perhaps have a clue to what the problem is thank you. its not a good idea to run to empty as the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel. when the tank runs dry the pump can over heat. given sufficient cycles like this and you have to replace a fuel pump. not counting being stranded. .
