Q: you also have to take into account that since this is not a binary group some of us will not be able to see them because some service providers will not post the pictures but what the hell give it a try. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving website to post them too. i know pics arent allowed in this group. theyre not allowed and theyre not prohibited... no one controls the group so no one makes up any rules. go ahead and post them. just be considerate of the 3 or 4 people still left on dialup and indicate in the subject line that pictures are attached. .

thanks maxpower but i dont see any fault codes. what is the bcm anyway thanks mike hello i have an 01 dodge caravan 3.3l and lately once and awhile driving the wipers come on all by themselves and now i seen them come on from the house while it was sitting in the driveway parked with no key! it is very cold out here and wondering if that might have something to do with it does anyone know what this could be its very weird. im afraid i will have a drained battery and worn down wipers in the morning. thanks mike the biggest problem was the mulifunction switch on this vehicle. you may want to take the car in and have the dealer check for any fault codes especially in the bcm im sorry bcm body control module iow yet another useless part that serves no real purpose other than to make the vehicle increasingly more complex and all the more difficult to service outside of the dealership. yup! we design em that way! ;^ mike yep and on purpose too. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving so what is done in this situation does the bcm require replacing mike the symptoms that you are describing makes that sound like a strong possibility. since your vehicle may still be under warranty i would have the dealer take a look at it. i would suspect that this is not an inexpensive part. and where is the bcm located i have no idea where it could be in your vehicle but there are others in here that may. picking up a fsm may be a good idea if you intend to do any work on that vehicle. just looking through it can give you an idea what jobs may be beyond your abilities before you start them and get yourself into trouble. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving the bcm is located on the left side by the emergency brake assembly it has to be ordered thru chrysler only and programmed before installed most likely your problem is going to be in the multifunction switch.. the bcm is a cost of around 300.00 part only how would the multi-function switch be to blame for this unless dc made some changes im unaware of the wipers being active when the ignition switch is off and his primary concern is that the wipers are activating on their own with nobody even in the vehicle and the vehicle shut off. it looks more like the bcm itself is acting up and turning them on regardless of input from the ignition or the mfs. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

on sun 06 mar 2005 052713 gmt fmb fmbb@sbcglobal.net wrote im leaving ca for alaska for a few weeks of travel with my 04 arctic fox 5th wheel behind my 03 2500 laramie ho 4wd. i already have 60k on the original tires and want to change them out before i leave. i was in talking to big-o today as that is where i have bought for the past 15-20 years or so and he is recommending the big foot a/t. he says it handles wet roads much better than the mich. i have on there yeah not much traction on the originals. also rated for 70k miles. he did say there might be a bit more road noise but not much. these are lt265/70r17. more tire info at http//www.bigotires.com/index.asppg=2&sub=12b&catid=01big31 or http//tinyurl.com/5rmh4 for short. for 4 tires he will toss in the alignment. this is a tire i expect to last 24 - 30 months so i want to have something that wont be bothersome. is this a good tire are there better ones out there in the $7-800 price range the only complaint i really have about the michilins sp is the lack of traction on wet pavement. good luck on your alaska trip it is marvelous country. when you are in whitehorse yukon take the time and drive down to skagway alaska it is one of the worlds most scenic drives and is only a hundred miles. an easy one day trip unless you want to overnight in skagway there are two nice rv-parks. hank .

i have spent the last two days removing a dialer from my computer. all seems quiet and it hasnt reappeared. i believe that i picked it up at a web site. that web site is set as my home page in ie. i change it but it keeps coming back. does anyone have an idea as to what keeps changing it back the only way that i dare use ie is to open it through a link in an email in outlook express. beekeep this is my standard answer to people that ask me what to do about an infected computer they dont have to be done in this order but ive found it works best. tr i would download and run ad-aware free be sure to update it after you install it. http//www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ you should also run spybot search and destroy free http//www.safer-networking.org i ran this new microsoft program and it found 3 things that the other programs i use didnt. http//www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx then run at least two of these free online virus scan programs rav http//www.ravantivirus.com/scan/ panda http//www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ bitdefender http//www.bitdefender.com/scan/license.php after you are sure the machine is clean download and install spywareblasterfree to help keep it that way http//www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html good luck tom i love this. i norton everything and never even have to update it its smart and does it itself. course im in this business and its the best product out there if yall werent so cheap you wouldnt need 5 damn programs to take care of this issue. also note we dont allow adware on any domain we service reason being it also installs its out spybot.....the cycle never ends. 30 bucks is cheap for something that provides firewall email scans web scans worm protection system scans and automatic live updates daily if you so desire. if you run with the auto-protect always on you never have to worry about nothing.... but what the hell we make millions a year fixing contaminated pcs. i guess i shouldnt complain. gotta ask. i run norton systemworks. it has it all. but i still run the freebies and they every so often come up with something. usually a miner or some such. why is that roy some things some programs pick up as suspect are treated as viruses/worms. programs that know what there doing treat them as the file they are. sometimes virus programs will delete hide or suspend these files from use. at some point one of the programs you use will call for this one file prolly rarely used and your program will hang up or blue screen or whatever its doing now a days. we see it all the time were some of these free virus programs will kill a file that lets say microsoft just installed as a security file on your computer......crap happens... i only run stuff that works together. microsoft and linux and norton do this. just because a virus program says it found a virus doesnt make it so. you have to research the so called virus and determine what it is and then deal with it. if you delete a bunch of system files haaaaa your reloading again. my blood sugar is low i gotta shut up now. -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

i have a 1999 2500 4wd v8 and the air has stopped working. pressure in system and i do not here the click of the compressor when its turned on. so ok they clutch is bad no there. the question is do they make noise. sounds like a bad valve tap only when i am driving and accelerate. do they make this noise or should i look else where. just because the clutch doesnt engage dont assume its a bad clutch; have you checked for power and ground at the clutch electrical connector the clutch engagement depends on a few switches. the compressor clutch pulley rides on a bearing when its not engaged so it could make a tapping noise if the bearing is bad. .

im looking at purchasing a used 2002 dakota but have a question about the models. ive found a 4dr slt 4x4 with 70000kms for $24995.00 canadian. it has the 4.7l v8. i also found a sport 4dr with 67000kms for $22995.00 canadian. it has the 3.9l v6 wich would be better on gas i would think. which was the better model the slt or the sport the prices are way out of line for either one. walk away! ahhh they are can$ and those are pretty close to what is market in bc where we dont have rust issues kinda like the california cars. ron 2002 dakqc slt 2wd .
