back to childish insults budd it figures. if he wants to accuse me of saying something that i didnt say then back it up. if not then he is just an admitted liar by default. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving again you make childish idiotic assumptions . . .youre simply not worth the effort to hate. i dislike you and your idiotic argumentative childish trolling and you compound it when you demand proof even though you refuse to give any yourself or admit you are wrong. you wouldnt make a good boil on the butt of humanity. -- budd sorry budd but much like you everything he said about me was complete bs that he cant back up. he can stomp his feet all that he wants and i suppose that people like you who hate me might buy into it but the truth is still the truth and he is still full of shit. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving not necessarily. just tired of your idiotic antics. -- budd budd cochran wrote do you ever feel youre trying to record an important message on a cassette recorder with a bad tape and this is the kind of playback you get use to be able to put up with it 34 maybe 5 days before becoming bored and tired. then down to 48 hours and now 24 or less hours. im finally coming around to agree with everyone else it is wasted time. iow you dug yourself in too deep and cant back up any of your bs. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

tbone wrote lol wrong! a black box is a data recorder and nothing more. it has no tracking abilities and only stores the data fed to it from whatever external sensors are connected to it for a fixed period of time. gps is an interactive transceiver and can both determine and transmit current location direction and speed by transmitting and receiving signals from the gps satellites. storing data for long term retrieval is not a requirement of any gps system perhaps you should look into a black box before embarrassing yourself again. i have a older gps hand held that logs data constantly. theyre called track logs. at any time i can pull up the track log pick out any point in the route call it up and the display shows position and direction of travel when logged. a gps unit wouldnt be much help to someone lost if they couldnt turn around and re-trace their route. jerry .

you wont be giving up your freedom to break the law. its when you wreck the authorities will be able to tell what you have done and if you were responsible or a victim. it wont be the authorities it will be your insurance company. then who will the victim be if you die will your life insurance company want this information also how long before the information is remotely accessible via on-star some other satellite a cell phone or anyones laptop how long before the insurance companies start to demand the 300 gbytes of information from your black boxes so that they can determine if youre a risk or not how long before you have no idea that your driving record is being examined .

roy@home.net wrote i have a 2001 dodge ram 4x4 diesel. i was backing up a very steep drivewayi would guess 35 degrees or more and when i got to the top my truck must have dumped at least a quart of oil. it looks like there is some sort of overflow tube coming off the front top of the engine. i assume it spilled the oil out as some form of engine protection. i just wanted to find out why this happened.. just some quick added info 1my engine oil was not over full. on level ground it was about 1/2 way down the add mark on the dipstick. 2my truck does has 100000k+ but it does not leak or burn oil. 3truck was not in 4x4 mode when i was backing up. 4truck had a load of about 1200lbs on it. 5when i drove down the hill the oil pressure dropped and check engine light came on. 6i drove home that night and had no problems of additional oil loss or loss of oil pressure. if you could email me with an answer i would appreciate it. later bill it sounds like the bottle at the end of the breather is full. empty it. or do what some have done and extend and reroute the hose towards the back of the truck and do away with the bottle. or take off the factory bottle extend the hose take a empty rolaids bottle drill a hole in the cap stick the hose through cap put a wire tie on the hose so the hose wont pull out of the cap screw the bottle back on the cap and secure the whole deal. oh drill a few holes in the bottle near the top so it will breath and watch your clearances. roy when i had my 01 i extended the hose. got another piece of hose about a good foot longer join the two hoses with a piece of pipe used hose clamps. done away with the bottle if i remember routed the hose to the side somewhere so whatever came out of the breather hose would hit the ground. on my 2003 they must of done away with that bottle i cant remember ever seeing one. is that correct dale .

greg o wrote those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have nor do they deserve either one. president thomas jefferson 1743-1826 how does a black box bive up your freedom if someone was able to track you where ever you went i would be against it. but as a flight recorder i have no problem. keep in mind those people with gm vehicles and onstar are able to be tracked. not that i do anything illegal but i would not buy a vehicle with onstar. greg what do you think comes next gps technology is such that it can easily become a tracking device. in some countries that black box is now a tracking and punishment device. there are stanchions on the side of the road. if you pass by one doing 1mph over the limit you get a ticket. this falls in to the area of red light cameras and speed cameras. once you allow it to spread it gets out of control and becomes a taxation device rather than a safety device. i refuse to purchase a vehicle with one of these devices.. -- ..bob 1997 hd fxdwg - turbocharged! 2001 dodge dakota qc 5.9/4x4/3.92 1983 gmc jimmy - mountain beater 1966 mustang coupe - daily driver 1966 ffr cobra - ongoing project .

tomr wrote tomr wrote washington - some safety and privacy experts are reacting with apprehension others with all out condemnation over a recent ruling by the national transportation safety board search to require electronic data recorders or black boxes in all new cars manufactured in the united states. http//www.fox.com/story/0293313205600.html im for them. people need to be held accountable for their actions. the benefit to me of everyone else on the road having one greatly outweighs my personal preference of not having one. in other words i dont want one but i wouldnt complain about having one if it were mandated for everyone. those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have nor do they deserve either one. president thomas jefferson 1743-1826 we must reject the idea that every time a laws broken society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. it is time to restore the american precept that each individual is accountable for his actions. president ronald reagan 1911-2004 if evil is inevitable how are the wicked accountable nay why do we call men wicked at all evil is inevitable but is also remediable. horace mann us educator the first great american advocate of public education 1796-1859 we can quote dead people all day but it still doesnt change anything. i believe the vast majority of the population want to do the right thing and they do obey the laws that govern us. this device will be transparent to those people. the only people that will be negatively effected by this device are up to no good. the positive effects of this device will benefit everyone even those of us that dont like it. .
