suddenly without warning scott hendryx exclaimed 27-oct-06 555 pm you will need universal knowledge and a universal tool. both can be had at the dealer. just ask for them by name. another universally unhelpful answer. i imagine you think youre being funny... but dont quit your day job i thought id have to go to a library or the internet for universal knowledge. whoda thunk i could just ask a mechanic yea i know im not quitting my day job either... jmc but you tried not very hard but you tried. -- --scott hendryx-- mianderson said also youre totally being suckered on the bc game. fsu will cover.... .

budd cochran wrote obviously you have not been in this group for very long or you would know that youre a bitter and deteriorated old man... who couldnt climb into a truck any longer so you got a car that lets you slide off the edge of your wheelchair and roll over onto the driver seat. .

already checked that.....the block says 360 on the side of the casting... exactly the same place as the 318 says 318. earl on tue 24 oct 2006 155415 gmt aarcuda69062 nonelson@sbcglobal.net wrote earl groce egroce@mindspring.com wrote ive got both pans off... had both pans setting on the old 318 with the 318 gasket laid in place.. on these two magnum engines there just aint no difference in the pans in the rear seal area... the 318 is a very late model.. previous owner said a 2001. the 360 is a 95. the measurement across both of the opening is 5 3/8 inches.. my question now is did dodge change the late 318s to have the same rear bearing cap as the 360 or what gives no one seems to have ever experienced this on two forums... earl perhaps your 360 isnt a 360 .

yup just found it. oem is 245-75/16 with optional being 265-75/16 or 275-70/17. so 285-75/16 is closer to oem diameter i do believe. your speedo should read slightly higher than oem and going to the right size will bring your rpms down slightly for the same speed. -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi ----cool toys formerly carolina watercraft works ----mack daddy trailers ----ice angels id think the 01 was supposed to have 75 series tires not 70. check you owners manual. if that is the case your tires are actually smaller than oem. -- ------------------------------------------ laszlo almasi ----cool toys formerly carolina watercraft works ----mack daddy trailers ----ice angels i currently have lt245-70-r-16 on the truck....i saw another truck the same model and year with lt285-75r-16..........will using a slightly larger tire mess up gearing or affect the transmission automatic or rear diff thanks charlie the oc .
