2001 dakota Heater

From : ed m

Q: start. it always has a ton of water in the fuel. i also have to keep fuel additive added to each tank or it will not start. check the vent on top of the gas tank. your vent may be pointing forward and picking up water from road spray water crossings etc. try putting a rubber hose on the end and routing it up and towards the back. theres no chance someone could be dumping water into your tank is there .

i just bought this 2000 dodge dakota 4wd/4.7l truck at an auction. when the headlights are not on the bright indicator lamp is lit. i was assuming this was for daytime running lights. however the indicator lamp stays on even when the truck is turned off. even more odd is that when i switch on the brights the indicator lamp shuts off. seems some wires must be crossed or something. any ideas to would be greatly appreciated. .

james evans wrote hi i have an 05 dakota. so far i like it a lot. one thing though. i would like for the fog lights to stay on when i switch on the high beams. currently they automatically switch off when i go to brights. i drive a long way home on dark country roads and i can use they brighter lights along with the fogs to look for deer and moose on the road. if anyone know how to program the fogs to stay on i would appreciate it. also could it be an electrical loading issue pulling to much current if both the fogs and brights are on thanks james it would overload the lighting circuit if you did. jam .
